First look images have been released for ‘Rick And Morty‘ Season 9, offering an early glimpse at the next round of multiverse chaos for the fan-favourite animated sci-fi comedy.
The long-running series follows genius scientist Rick Sanchez and his anxious grandson Morty as they bounce between dimensions, alien worlds, and catastrophically bad decisions. Season 9 promises another batch of wildly inventive adventures as the show continues its run as one of Adult Swim’s biggest global hits.
The official logline for the new season reads:
“Rick and Morty is back, baby! Season Nine is all certified bangers. No AI slop! Just Grade A organic slop, made by real humans with real human traits like back hair and cysts. Please watch, or we’ll have neglected our families for nothing.”
Season 9 sees the return of the core voice cast including Ian Cardoni, Harry Belden, Sarah Chalke, Chris Parnell, and Spencer Grammer. The series is executive produced by Dan Harmon and Scott Marder, with Marder also serving as showrunner.
Adult Swim president Michael Ouweleen praised the creative team behind the show’s continued success:
“I know it’s my job to say that this show just keeps topping itself, but it also has the benefit of being true. It’s kind of scary what this show unit is doing season over season—just pouring an absurd amount of talent and brilliance into these episodes. From the first frame, you’re going to see great high-concept insanity with some of the best character writing ever done. Again, it’s my job to say that, but it’s also true.”
For UK viewers, HBO Max will be the new home of ‘Rick And Morty’ when the service launches on Thursday, 26th March 2026. Although a UK premiere date for ‘Rick And Morty’ Season 9 has not yet been confirmed, new episodes are expected to arrive around the same time as the US broadcast.
