Disney+ Unveils Trailer For Marvel Special ‘The Punisher: One Last Kill’ Ahead Of May Debut

Disney+ has released the trailer and key art for The Punisher: One Last Kill, the new Marvel Television Special Presentation, which brings Jon Bernthal (Daredevil: Born Again, The Bear) back as Frank Castle this May.

The one-off special looks set to throw Frank straight back into the fire, with Marvel teasing a story that finds him searching for meaning beyond revenge before an unexpected force drags him back into the fight. If you were hoping for something light and cheerful, this does not appear to be that.

Bernthal’s return as Castle has already been one of the more intriguing corners of Marvel’s recent street-level storytelling, particularly following his reappearance in ‘Daredevil: Born Again’. This special seems ready to lean fully into that darker, more brutal side of the Marvel universe, with the trailer promising plenty of grit, violence, and Frank doing what Frank does best, which is making very bad days worse for very bad people.

‘The Punisher: One Last Kill’ is directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green from a script co-written by Bernthal and Green, which should make this feel a little more personal than your average Marvel outing. Given Bernthal’s long-running connection to the character, that is a promising sign.

Disney has also released key art for the special, ahead of what will no doubt be one of the more hotly anticipated Marvel drops on Disney+ this spring.

‘The Punisher: One Last Kill’ premieres Tuesday, 13th May 2026 at 2am on Disney+.
