Netflix is continuing to flesh out Wednesday Season 3, with three more names joining the ever-growing list of fresh faces heading to Nevermore. Lena Headey (Game Of Thrones), Andrew McCarthy (St. Elmo’s Fire) and James Lance (Ted Lasso) are all set to guest star in the new season, which is currently filming near Dublin.

They join a rather stacked lineup of new additions already announced for ‘Wednesday’, including Winona Ryder (Stranger Things), Eva Green (Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children), Chris Sarandon (The Princess Bride), Noah Taylor (Peaky Blinders), Oscar Morgan (Gotham Knights) and Kennedy Moyer (Task). As with most things in the Addams universe, Netflix is keeping exact character details firmly under lock and key for now.

That said, the series has already teased that this season will dig into some particularly murky Addams Family history. Showrunners Alfred Gough and Miles Millar previously hinted that Season 3 will bring “new students, new teachers” while also unearthing some “long-rotting Addams Family secrets,” which sounds exactly as cheerful and unsettling as you’d want from ‘Wednesday’.

One of the bigger new arrivals this season is Eva Green (Dark Shadows) as Ophelia Frump, the missing sister of Morticia Addams and Wednesday’s aunt. Tim Burton, who returns as executive producer and director, has also spoken about how pleased he is to be reuniting with a number of familiar collaborators this season, including Green, Ryder, Sarandon and Taylor. Basically, Burton appears to be assembling something of a goth-flavoured all-star team.

Returning cast members for ‘Wednesday’ include Jenna Ortega (Beetlejuice Beetlejuice) as Wednesday Addams, Emma Myers (A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder) as Enid Sinclair, Hunter Doohan (Your Honor) as Tyler Galpin, Joy Sunday (Bad Hair) as Bianca Barclay, Moosa Mostafa (The Last Bus) as Eugene Ottinger, Georgie Farmer (Treadstone) as Ajax Petropolus, Isaac Ordonez (A Wrinkle in Time) as Pugsley Addams, Billie Piper (Scoop) as Isadora Capri, Luyanda Unati Lewis-Nyawo (The Power) as Sheriff Ritchie Santiago, Victor Dorobantu as Thing, Evie Templeton (Return to Silent Hill) as Agnes DeMille, Luis Guzmán (Wednesday) as Gomez Addams, Catherine Zeta-Jones (Chicago) as Morticia Addams, Joanna Lumley (Absolutely Fabulous) as Grandmama Hester Frump, and Fred Armisen (What We Do in the Shadows) as Uncle Fester.

Netflix is understandably keeping further details on Season 3 under wraps, but with filming now underway and the cast list getting bigger by the minute, it looks like ‘Wednesday’ is only becoming more delightfully twisted.

Wednesday does not yet have a premiere date but will air on Netflix in the UK. If you want to keep track of this or any other shows, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date. Visit Never Miss.
