‘The Madison‘ is clearly shaping up to be another huge win for Taylor Sheridan, with Paramount+ confirming the drama has already been renewed for a third season, even before Season 2 has landed.
That is a pretty strong vote of confidence from the streamer, and not entirely surprising given the numbers. According to Paramount+, the series pulled in eight million global views for its premiere episode in its first ten days, making it Sheridan’s biggest series debut to date. The platform also says the show ranked as the number one original season by views among streaming originals in its first week of release, while Nielsen is expected to place it in the Top 5 original streaming series for its first full week.
Set across the wide-open landscapes of Montana and the fast-moving world of Manhattan, ‘The Madison’ follows the connections, tensions and emotional ties that bind families together. It is a drama with a distinctly Sheridan flavour, but one that leans into family and character as much as scale and spectacle.
The cast is led by Michelle Pfeiffer (The First Lady, Ant-Man and the Wasp) and Kurt Russell (Monarch: Legacy of Monsters, The Hateful Eight), alongside Beau Garrett (Firefly Lane), Elle Chapman (A Man Called Otto), Patrick J. Adams (Suits), Amiah Miller (War for the Planet of the Apes), Alaina Pollack (The Surrender), Ben Schnetzer (3 Body Problem), Kevin Zegers (Power), Rebecca Spence (Lady in the Lake), Danielle Vasinova (1923), Matthew Fox (Lost) and Will Arnett (Is This Thing On?).
Paramount+ also confirmed production on Season 2 has now wrapped, although there is still no premiere date for those next episodes just yet. So whilst fans can relax knowing a third season is on the way, there is still a wait ahead before ‘The Madison’ returns to screens.
Behind the scenes, the series is produced by Paramount Television Studios, 101 Studios and Bosque Ranch Productions, with Sheridan executive producing alongside David C. Glasser, John Linson, Art Linson, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Christina Alexandra Voros, Michael Friedman, Pfeiffer, Russell and Keith Cox. Voros also directs all six episodes of the debut season.
