‘Saint-Pierre‘ has been renewed for a 3rd Season by CBC, with production set to begin this July in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Saint-Pierre-et-Miquelon, France.
The Canadian police procedural stars Joséphine Jobert (Death in Paradise) as Deputy Chief Geneviève “Arch” Archambault and Allan Hawco (Republic of Doyle) as Royal Newfoundland Constabulary Inspector Donald “Fitz” Fitzpatrick. The pair make up one of television’s more unusual crime-solving partnerships, as a Newfoundland cop exiled to the French territory finds himself teamed with a Parisian transplant who has her own reasons for being there.
Set in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon, a French territory nestled in the North Atlantic just off the coast of Newfoundland, the series sees Arch and Fitz investigating crimes beneath the islands’ picturesque surface. Because, as we have learned from years of crime drama, if somewhere looks quaint and tourist-friendly, there is almost certainly a murder happening just out of shot.
The renewal follows a strong run for the drama in Canada, where the first season earned six Canadian Screen Award nominations in 2026, including Best Drama Series and Best Lead Performer for Hawco. Season 1 was also CBC’s number one most-watched new series of 2025.
“We’re incredibly grateful for the continued support from CBC, our incredible partners at FIFTH SEASON, and the worldwide fans who have embraced the show from the very beginning,” say series creators Allan Hawco and Robina Lord-Stafford. “Returning to Newfoundland and Saint-Pierre et Miquelon for Season 3 is especially exciting, as these locations are such an important part of the show’s identity. We’re looking forward to building on the momentum of the first two seasons and bringing audiences even more of the mystery, unexpected twists, and character dynamics that make this world so special.”
Alongside Jobert and Hawco, the cast also includes Benz Antoine (Four Brothers), Erika Prevost (The Boys) and Jean-Michel Le Gal (Paris Paris), rounding out the team at the centre of the drama.
UK viewers are still a little behind Canada on this one, as only Season 1 has aired here so far on U&Alibi. Season 2 has already aired in Canada, but has not yet landed in the UK. So, while the Season 3 renewal is excellent news for fans of the show globally, we may have to exercise a little patience before Arch and Fitz are back on this side of the Atlantic.
We recently spoke to Joséphine Jobert for Geektown Talks To, where she chatted about making the jump from ‘Death in Paradise’ to ‘Saint-Pierre’, the freezing change of location, working opposite Allan Hawco, and why playing Arch had such a profound impact on her personally. You can listen to the full interview here.
‘Saint-Pierre’ is produced by Hawco Productions for CBC and CBC Gem, with FIFTH SEASON handling global distribution. The first two seasons are available to stream on CBC Gem in Canada, while Season 1 is currently airing on U&Alibi in the UK.
‘Saint-Pierre‘ Season 3 does not yet have a UK premiere date, but Season 1 aired on U&Alibi in the UK. If you want to keep track of this or any other shows, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date. Visit Never Miss.
