‘Enola Holmes 3’ Trailer Sees Millie Bobby Brown Heading To Malta For Netflix Mystery Sequel

by Dave Elliott

Netflix has released the trailer for ‘Enola Holmes 3’, which sees Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things, The Electric State) return as Sherlock Holmes’ brilliant younger sister, with the next mystery taking her all the way to Malta this July.

The new film finds Enola preparing for what should be one of the biggest days of her life, as she heads to the altar to marry Lord Tewkesbury. Naturally, because this is Enola Holmes, romance does not get very long to breathe before trouble comes crashing through the door. Sherlock has been kidnapped, and Enola is immediately pulled into a case that appears to be more tangled, dangerous, and personal than anything she has faced before.

The trailer teases a mix of sweeping romance, high-speed action, and good old-fashioned Holmes family chaos, as Enola tries to balance her feelings about marriage with the urgent need to rescue her famous brother. The story takes the young detective abroad this time, with Malta providing the backdrop for another mystery filled with clues, danger, and presumably at least one situation where Enola is vastly more competent than the men around her.

Alongside Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things, The Electric State) as Enola Holmes, the cast also includes Louis Partridge (Disclaimer, Jay Kelly) as Tewkesbury, Henry Cavill (Mission: Impossible – Fallout, Man of Steel) as Sherlock Holmes, Helena Bonham Carter (The Crown, the Harry Potter series) as Eudoria Holmes, Himesh Patel (Yesterday, Tenet) as Dr. John Watson, and Sharon Duncan-Brewster (Dune, Ballerina) as Moriarty.

‘Enola Holmes 3’ is directed by Philip Barantini, the filmmaker behind the hit one-take crime drama Adolescence. Jack Thorne returns to write the screenplay, continuing his work from the first two ‘Enola Holmes’ films, based on The Enola Holmes Mysteries by Nancy Springer.

The film is produced by Mary Parent, Ali Mendes, and Alex Garcia for Legendary Entertainment, with Millie Bobby Brown and Bobby Brown producing for PCMA Productions. Jake Bongiovi and Isobel Richards executive produce for PCMA, with Joshua Grode executive producing for Legendary Entertainment. Michael Dreyer also executive produces.

The first two ‘Enola Holmes’ films proved to be major hits for Netflix, giving the world of Sherlock Holmes a lively, modern, fourth-wall-breaking spin, while placing Enola firmly at the centre of the story. This third outing looks set to raise the stakes once again, adding a destination mystery, a family crisis, and a wedding that is almost certainly not going to go smoothly.

‘Enola Holmes 3’ premieres Wednesday, 1st July 2026 on Netflix.
