Sky has released the official trailer for ‘Fightland‘, a gritty new revenge drama set in the high-stakes world of British boxing, coming to Sky and streaming service NOW this August.
Executive produced by Curtis ’50 Cent’ Jackson (Power, BMF), the drama stars Howard Charles (The Musketeers, Top Boy) as Duke Kilroy, a British-born boxer whose greatest night quickly turns into a nightmare.
As Duke becomes world heavyweight champion, a vicious assault leaves his brother Calvin dead. Devastated by the loss, Duke’s reaction in the aftermath lands him in a US prison for eight years. When he is finally released, a sinister discovery sends him back home to London looking for revenge.
Duke believes the man responsible for setting him up is criminal kingpin and former promoter Kingsley Marshall, played by Nicholas Pinnock (For Life, Marcella). There is, however, a fairly major problem with his vengeance plan. Kingsley has vanished.
Instead, Duke finds Kingsley’s family trying to pick up the pieces, including his wife Joy, played by Deborah Ayorinde (Riches, Them), who also happens to be the love of Duke’s life. Because a straightforward revenge story would apparently be far too easy…
As the trailer shows, Duke begins working with a cartel desperate to take control of London’s drug market, infiltrating Kingsley’s empire with the aim of destroying it from the inside and forcing his former promoter out of hiding.
Of course, when your plan involves boxing, criminal empires, cartels and a woman you are still very much in love with, things are unlikely to go smoothly. Duke finds himself caught in an increasingly volatile criminal landscape, with competing influences threatening to pull him away from his target. To get the revenge he wants, he will need to use everything that once made him a champion fighter.
Alongside Charles, Pinnock and Ayorinde, ‘Fightland’ stars Anita-Joy Uwajeh (Vampire Academy, Lucky Man) as Cebella “Cece” Marshall, Charles Babalola (The Outlaws, Black Mirror) as Ezekiel “Zeek” Marshall, Tahirah Sharif (The Haunting of Bly Manor, A Town Called Malice) as Kim Harper, Tyler Conti as Justin “Jay” Hall, and Richard Pepple (Gangs of London, The Rig) as Gary “Gazzer” Kilroy.
The series marks Jackson’s first internationally produced show through G-Unit Film & Television. He executive produces alongside Francis Hopkinson (Wallander, Bancroft) and Kate Leadbetter (The Woman in White, Catherine the Great) of Expanded Media, who also produce.
‘Fightland’ was created by Daniel Fajemisin-Duncan and Marlon Smith (Run, Save Me), who serve as writers and executive producers. Damione Macedon and Raphael Jackson Jr. (Power, BMF) serve as showrunners, executive producers and writers. Otto Bathurst (Peaky Blinders) directs and executive produces the opening two episodes.
The drama comes to Sky as part of the broadcaster’s ongoing partnership with STARZ, with the US broadcaster actually getting into the ring slightly earlier than UK viewers.
‘Fightland‘ premieres this August on Sky and NOW in the UK. The series premieres Friday, 31st July 2026 on STARZ in the USA.
