Paramount+ has released the official trailer for ‘Lioness’ Season 3, as Taylor Sheridan’s espionage thriller prepares to return this August with its most personal and dangerous mission so far.
The new season sees hidden networks, foreign operatives and personal betrayals collide, as Joe, played by Zoe Saldaña (Avatar), finds the conflict creeping ever closer to home. Unseen forces are circling her world, patterns are appearing where they should not, names are vanishing and familiar paths are suddenly being rearranged.
Guided by Kaitlyn, played by Nicole Kidman (Big Little Lies), and Westfield, played by Michael Kelly (House Of Cards), Joe is forced to confront enemies operating from the shadows. However, this time the war is no longer something she can leave behind when she returns home, as it begins reaching into every part of her life.
The new trailer promises another suitably intense outing for ‘Lioness’, with the team taking on a dangerous global assignment while Joe attempts to balance her duty to the programme with protecting her family. Given Taylor Sheridan’s fondness for putting his characters through the emotional wringer, that balance is unlikely to remain stable for long.
Alongside Saldaña, Kidman and Kelly, the returning cast includes Morgan Freeman (The Dark Knight Trilogy), Laysla De Oliveira (Locke & Key), Dave Annable (Brothers & Sisters), Jill Wagner (Teen Wolf), LaMonica Garrett (1883), James Jordan (Yellowstone), Genesis Rodriguez (The Umbrella Academy), Austin Hébert (Ray Donovan), Thad Luckinbill (The Young And The Restless), Hannah Love Lanier (Road House) and Ian Bohen (Teen Wolf), alongside Jonah Wharton.
‘Lioness’ is created by Taylor Sheridan and produced by Paramount Television Studios and 101 Studios. Sheridan executive produces alongside David C. Glasser, Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, Bob Yari, Michael Friedman, Jill Wagner, David Lemanowicz, Geyer Kosinski and Keith Cox.
