UKTV has confirmed an August UK premiere date for ‘Hit Point’, the new six-part police thriller led by Nick Blood (The Day of the Jackal, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and Saffron Hocking (Top Boy).
Written by BAFTA-winner Howard Overman (Misfits, War of the Worlds, Crazyhead) and directed by David Caffrey (The Gentlemen, Peaky Blinders), the series follows thirty-something detectives Leo and Bella as their latest investigation draws them into a dangerous West London underworld.
The case begins with a robbery involving a non-lethal bullet, £10 million and a collection of animal-themed clues which do not appear to fit together. As more contradictory evidence emerges, the sparky banter between Leo and Bella begins to disguise a much stronger attraction.
Meanwhile, the gang behind the heist are attempting to stay ahead of the police when an even more dangerous threat arrives. Lucas’ ruthless and psychopathic uncle Pascal wants his missing money returned, and he is not particularly interested in hearing excuses.
According to UKTV, ‘Hit Point’ blends a high-stakes crime thriller with romantic drama, razor-sharp humour and heart-stopping action, as loyalties are tested, secrets come to light and the detectives struggle to keep their personal and professional lives separate.
Alongside Blood and Hocking, the cast includes William Abadie (Emily in Paris) as Pascal, Brendan Coyle (Toxic Town) as Michael, Peter Serafinowicz (The Gentlemen) as Carter, Nadia Parkes (Kidnapped: The Chloe Ayling Story) as Sophia, Moe Bar-El (Alien: Earth) as Dylan, Ossian Perret (The Last Kingdom) as Lucas and Joshua Sher (The Undeclared War) as Alfie.
The drama comes from Urban Myth Films, with CANAL+ co-financing and STUDIOCANAL handling worldwide sales and distribution. It also marks the first original scripted drama commission for U&Dave, giving the channel a suitably punchy thriller to launch its move into homegrown drama.
All six episodes of ‘Hit Point’ will be available as a box set on U from launch. The opening episode will also premiere simultaneously across U&Dave, U&W and U&Drama.
‘Hit Point’ premieres Thursday, 13th August 2026 at 9pm on U&Dave, with all episodes available on U from launch.
