Netflix has begun production in Prague on its currently untitled TV adaptation of Dan Brown’s ‘The Secret of Secrets‘, with the streamer also unveiling a first-look image of Morgan Spector (The Gilded Age, The Plot Against America) as Robert Langdon alongside Rebecca Hall (Vicky Cristina Barcelona, The End of It) as Katherine Solomon.
The pair lead a cast which already includes Cherry Jones (Succession, The Handmaid’s Tale) as Heide Nagel, Corey Stoll (Imperfect Women, Billions) as Everett Finch, Rob Delaney (Dying for Sex, Catastrophe) as Jonas Faukman, and Abbey Lee (Black Rabbit, Mad Max: Fury Road) as Sasha Vesna.
Netflix has now added another five recurring cast members. Mamadou Athie (The Drama, Uncorked) will play Michael Harris, while Ben Levi Ross (Ragtime, Elsbeth) takes the role of Alex Conan. They are joined by Anamaria Marinca (Housekeeping for Beginners, 4 Months, 3 Weeks and 2 Days) as Dr. Gessner, Richard Sammel (Andor, Inglourious Basterds) as Karl Muller, and Elena Saurel (The Agency, We Might Regret This) as Susan Housemore.
The series is based on ‘The Secret of Secrets’, Brown’s sixth Robert Langdon novel, which was published in 2025. The story once again drops the symbologist into a race against time, this time as he attempts to rescue a missing scientist and recover her groundbreaking manuscript. Its discoveries could radically change humanity’s understanding of the mind, while the adaptation promises to mix futuristic science, mystical lore and the globe-trotting intrigue fans have come to expect from Langdon’s adventures.
For anyone wondering, Netflix is still describing the project as currently untitled, so ‘The Secret of Secrets’ is the book it is adapting rather than an officially confirmed title for the series.
The novel follows five previous Robert Langdon books: Angels & Demons, The Da Vinci Code, The Lost Symbol, Inferno and Origin. Brown’s novels have sold more than 250 million copies across 56 languages, while the Langdon film series has also been a sizeable global hit.
Carlton Cuse (Lost, Jack Ryan, Locke & Key, Bates Motel) serves as co-creator, showrunner, writer and executive producer on the Netflix adaptation, with Dan Brown also serving as co-creator and executive producer. Emma Forman for Genre Arts and Zoe Robyn also executive produce.
With cameras now rolling in Prague and the main cast in place, we should hopefully start getting a few more clues about what Netflix has planned for Robert Langdon’s latest screen adventure. The streamer has not yet announced a premiere date for the currently untitled ‘The Secret of Secrets‘ adaptation.
