‘Anna Pigeon’ Renewed For Season 2 As Season 1 Lands On U&DRAMA In The UK

by Dave Elliott

USA Network has handed ‘Anna Pigeon‘ a second season, just as the crime drama begins its UK run on U&DRAMA.

The series stars Tracy Spiridakos (Chicago P.D.) as Anna Pigeon, a former city slicker who becomes a park ranger after a devastating loss changes the course of her life. Unfortunately for Anna, escaping into the great outdoors does not mean escaping trouble, as she finds herself investigating crimes committed within America’s national parks.

For UK viewers, ‘Anna Pigeon’ is a very new arrival. Season 1 only premiered this week on U&DRAMA, meaning we’re getting the reassuring news that there is more to come almost immediately after being introduced to Anna and her somewhat hazardous new career.

Over in the US, the drama has been a sizeable hit for USA Network. According to the broadcaster, ‘Anna Pigeon’ delivered its highest-rated original scripted series premiere in nearly eight years, averaging 2.35 million total viewers within seven days of its debut. USA also says the series is the number one new scripted drama on ad-supported cable in 2026 and has reached 18 million total viewers across its run.

“Anna Pigeon has connected with audiences in a meaningful way, bringing a compelling new heroine and a fresh perspective to USA Network,” said Michael Sluchan, SVP, Scripted Content, Entertainment, VERSANT. “We’re thrilled to continue Anna’s journey with Tracy, Morwyn, Lea and our incredible partners at Cineflix.”

The drama is based on the New York Times bestselling series of novels by Nevada Barr, which follows park ranger Anna Pigeon as she investigates mysteries in national parks across the United States. Season 1 sees Anna attempting to outrun her own demons while repeatedly finding that crime has an annoying habit of following her into some of the country’s most spectacular wilderness.

Alongside Spiridakos, the first season stars Paulina Alexis (Reservation Dogs), Ronnie Rowe (Star Trek: Discovery), Tricia Helfer (Lucifer), Kim Coates (Sons of Anarchy), Crystle Lightning (Trickster), Cooper Levy, Manuel Rodriguez-Saenz, Ryan Northcott, Nikki Rae Hallow, Jordan Sledz and Melanie Scrofano (Wynonna Earp).

Season 2 will continue Anna’s story with more mystery and adventure, although USA Network is keeping the specifics under wraps for now. Given the source material spans a sizeable collection of novels, there is certainly no shortage of wilderness, murder and extremely questionable holiday destinations for the show to explore.

“It’s been really thrilling to see audiences fall in love with Anna and come to the park every week,” said showrunner Morwyn Brebner. “We’re so grateful to our cast and crew who brought Nevada Barr’s iconic world to life with such heart and passion; we cannot wait to get back outside for season two.”

Morwyn Brebner serves as showrunner, with Lea Thompson directing. Both executive produce alongside Brett Burlock, Sonia Hosko, Todd Berger, Julie Di Cresce, Tom Cox, Jordy Randall, Peter Emerson and Gordon Gilbertson, while Leslie Cowan serves as producer.

The series is produced by Cineflix, December Films and SEVEN24 Films for USA Network in association with Bell Media. It also marks Bell Media’s first co-commission with Versant’s USA Network, with Cineflix Rights handling international distribution outside the US.

For those of us in the UK, there is obviously a little catching up to do before worrying too much about Season 2. U&DRAMA has only just started airing the first season, so there is plenty of park-based murder and mystery to get through before Anna’s next batch of adventures arrives.

‘Anna Pigeon‘ Season 1 premiered Tuesday, 6th October 2026 at 8pm on U&DRAMA in the UK. Season 2 does not yet have a UK premiere date.
