I think its bullshit that its released the day after on netflix we should be able to watch it at the same time as the us
Well due to the time difference, we kinda do… Say it airs 5th June 9pm US East Coast time on Freeform – that means it would have to land on Netflix UK at 2am on 6th June here. Bear in mind, the US doesn’t get to see it all at the same time either. The West Coast are 3hrs behind the East (9pm there is 5am here) Netflix shows usually are on the system from 8am, so really it’s not that far behind in the UK at all! :)
It has been renewed for a second season, just to let you know.
So basically if you don’t get a Netflix subscription you cannot watch shadowhunters in the UK? What a way to screw people over. I refuse to pay for a subscription just to watch it!
Unfortunately, the television series is a Netflix Original which means they have all rights to series 1 and 2 due to them producing the funds to make the series. Hence why you need a Netflix account to watch it!
Also the UK had the rights to watch it first not the US, same goes for the second series, which airs 3rd Jan 2017, just in case you have your Netflix account now ;)
Actually, it’s an American TV show and the US get to watch it first. Season 2B is aired 7/8c on the 5th of June, which can be watched on Freeform. Those in the UK cannot access Freeform and can watch it on Netflix on 6th of June after 8am EST.
Well… If we’re going to get technical, it’s actually co-funded by Netflix and ABC, hence the ‘Netflix Original’ tag. But yes, it airs on Freeform in the US, and Netflix in the UK, but they don’t want it released here before the US, so it airs the day afterwards. :)
Hey any one on here know if Netflix will be getting season 3 when it airs in us in march ?
