Under The Dome

On an entirely normal, beautiful fall day in Chester’s Mill, Maine, the town is inexplicably and suddenly sealed off from the rest of the world by an invisible force field. No one can fathom what this barrier is, where it came from, and when — or if — it will go away.
Dale Barbara, finds himself teamed with a few intrepid citizens – the town newspaper owner, a physician’s assistant at the hospital, a select-woman, and three brave kids. Against them stands Big Jim Rennie, a politician who will stop at nothing to hold on to the reins of power, and his son. Because time isn’t just short… It’s running out.

Any news on the 2nd part of S2 in the UK. It’s been 3 months since ep13 was aired.
You’ll see above that we are waiting for season 3 next. There is no season 2 part 2. 13 episodes per season
there was only 13 episodes in season 2 🙂
Under the Dome starts summer 2015, for CBS.
Season 2 of Under the Dome starts on Monday August 25th at 10pm on Channel 5.
Channel 5 are showing s1 ep 11 on 5th Aug, s1 ep 12 on 12th Aug, so guessing ep 13 will be week later, so possibly s2 will be last week of Aug.

It is. I don’t understand the previous post. Season 1 began on 19th August, but it doesn’t mean it will be 19th August every year.

Then again, I’ve just read something on wiki that says the premier date is June 30th!
The air date for the USA is 30th June but for the UK the date hasn’t been released. Hope this helps.

Fantastic blog! Do you have any tips for aspiring writers?
I’m planning to start my own blog soon but I’m a little lost on everything.
Would you suggest starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid
option? There are so many choices out there that I’m totally overwhelmed ..
Any recommendations? Kudos!

Was last weeks the last one of the series?????
Yes, an abrupt ending!
Under the Dome.. Brilliant first series… any news on when the second series will be aired in the UK?
You’re keen! 😀 Doesn’t air in the US till Summer 2014, so after that! Cheers, Dave
I have loved this new series, but I just wish channel 5 would just tell when we can expect to see series 2 which is is something they never tell you. Exciting new series’s like this and wentworth leave you on the edge of your seat wanting more, so to be left with no idea of how long we have to wait till the next series starts, it doesn’t surprise me that people turn to the Internet looking for it. Just give us an idea of how long we must wait and maybe this would be less of a problem. I’m a fan of watching things on tv rather than the Internet and other devices after all but just find the lack of information irritating to say the least, as we have nothing to look forward too!!!!
It’s quite reasonable and normal to expect programmes to be broadcast annually. Under the Dome has only just finished and is due back next summer in the US. That’s a fairly long time and there’s no rush for channel 5 to confirm anything. They certainly cannot broadcast it before it is made. In addition, when talking about imports, the Uk channel has to buy the rights first so they won’t be confirming anything before that has happened.
There is nearly always a legal way to watch programmes, even if it means buying the region 1 DVD. Turning to unauthorised internet content is simply a result of being impatient and wanting stuff for free.
It’s good you prefer television. The timeframe you are looking for in this case is late summer 2014.
Anyone know what channel this is on for the Sky box? PS: I live in ireland so idk what channel its on. I think it could be Sky Atlantic?
It isn’t Sky Atlantic. It is on Channel 5 (as shown above). I don’t know which channel, if any, has bought it for the Irish market.
Have been watching this online, and it is very good so far! The acting is brilliant, and even though it’s different from the book it has some of it’s own attributes too. I watched this after seeing it had Brittany Robertson and Colin Ford in it, who are rising stars. They are doing a fantastic job!
It has also just been renewed for a second series.
It will be coming to Channel 5 (and HD!) soon. Please watch it on television and not online (except on Demand 5 after its broadcast) so that our British channels can continue being able to bring us strong imports like this.
I have to say, I’m not sure I owe British broadcasters a living, but I’ll always support them if they show willing. How many hours after its broadcast in the US, will each episode air here in the UK? And will it be available online immediately, for those of us who want to watch on devices not linked by a wire to an old aerial in the attic?
Netflix is managing to get Breaking Bad episodes to our screens within 24hours of being shown in the US, which is pretty good, I reckon. Can other companies do the same?
Of course we don’t owe British broadcasters a living but it is better than providing a living to the lawyers acting for rights holders.
If you don’t want to watch television on a television with the wire in the attic (?) you can always get cable- it usually comes in to the ground floor from the pavement.
At any rate, there are plenty complaints when broadcasters drop poor performing programmes and it is rightly unfair for the majority of people who want to watch television legally. The minority who steal content illegally do not help the situation.
Yes, we do not owe the broadcasters a living but the producers, suppliers and yes the broadcasters all invest money in bringing these programmes to us and it is downright despicable to simply steal from them.
We do not owe dairies a living, but I’m sure you’d agree it’s wrong to steal milk from the supermarket.
Just as we don’t owe them a living, as international viewers, we also aren’t owed American programming at the same time as America. For that, move to America.
There are many many excuses thrown around for illegally stealing television content. Most of it blames broadcasters themselves and the thieves themselves rarely seem to take responsibility for their own illegal actions.
As regards the Breaking Bad example, yes it is soon. Other programmes on television channels are also here within a few days (latest series of Dexter for example). But it isn’t and it cannot be every programme on every channel. Not all Netflix content appears within 24 hours of the US. It would be prohibitively expensive and in order to do that, we’d all have to pay more for our content. Thieves would be unaffected as they’d continue to steal.
Agree with everything you said. Nothing worse than the cancellation of a good series just because viewing figures suggest that there is no interest.
well as of everything SK does im looking forward to this, channel 5 autumn, 13 episodes what better for cold dark nights, roll on stephen king
