Couple of Notes on Commenting…

TIPS FOR POSTING It is always extremely helpful when people post dates, times and information below. It is useful in keeping the list as current as possible and makes for a great community spirit. But when posting, please remember the following:

1) Use full programme titles. As instantly recognisable as abbreviations may be to someone who watches that show, to someone who doesn’t, it is just a meaningless collection of letters that have to be looked up.

2) If a bit of information is a rumour, please say so – we can list it as such, pending confirmation

3) If something comes from a reputable source, please quote that source, so we all know it is not just a rumour.

Thank you.

Yeah… “Late Spring” was the last thing we were told, and it’s Channel 4 not E4. 🙂 Not sure why they decided to delay it… Although there’s so much starting in April, I’m actually kind of glad. Hopefully, I’ll give it more of a chance to shine as late Spring/Summer tends to be less crowded with shows.

Any information or heard anything about how UK viewers are able to watch some of the shows coming up on YouTube Red. YouTube Red still seems to be unavailable in the UK and I’d like to check out a couple of their shows.

    Cobra Kai and Impulse.

Hoping that someone like Netflix can pick them up and screen them in the UK but I’m doubtful due to it being a competing streaming service.

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Sadly, no. It’s unlikely they will be sold anywhere as they are premium content for YouTube. However, YouTube Red is supposed to be launching in a bunch of other countries over the next 12 months – presumably the UK will be one of those – but we don’t have any official news yet.

      • Paul Dormer says:

Are you sure about that? I thought ITV showed episodes 1-8 last year. According to IMDb, episode 9 was shown in the US in January, and they’ve been showing it up till the end of March. Seems to be on a break again.

        0
        • Katie T says:

I’m sure. IMDB is definitely wrong. Ghosted hasn’t been on in the US for months and even the American sites like TVLine have absolutely no idea when it will be back.

          0
          • Bob says:

Anyone can edit IMDB so the date was wrong. I’ve heard rumours that it returns May 27 in the US. So my guess is May 28 so it can be a week behind the US since the U.K. still have Episode 9 to air

            0
            • Paul Dormer says:

I see what you mean. It would appear it came back for one episode, episode 9, on 7th January and episode 10 was supposed to be the season finale but then Fox ordered six more episodes and episode 10 was withdrawn from the schedule. However, according to Wikipedia, TVNZ in New Zealand showed episode 10 last night, and it also says that on TVNZ’s website.

Well Netflix and retail had to show Gotham season three with FTA viewers needing to catch up in the foreseeable future any way and as with NCIS is moving to 5USA for season 14 FTA rights well it looks changes that Channel 5 is becoming more of a original documentary owned evening slot channel and they are offered movie premieres at weekends especially when it comes them to showing Big Brother around when late May comes.

This isn’t an air date question, but a technical one. I have a standard Sky HD box and for the last few days AMC – Channel 192 – has had an awful, continuously distorted, sound. My other channels are perfect so I’m wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue? Thanks.

    • John Henderson says:

Hi Simon, just seen your comments about sound quality on AMC. I was watching Into the Badlands, series two, and could not agree more. Shocking. The sound levels anyway on AMC seem to be very low, for when I was watching series 1 of Into the Badlands last year I had to turn the volume right up.

Even when turned up, it is very difficult to hear exactly what is being spoken. I do not view AMC very often so can’t say whether this is a common fault, but surely someone at AMC should pick up on the sound quality.

The sound quality is such that it makes one seriously question whether to continue viewing or not.

I suppose one answer would be to turn on subtitles. I assume this is possible, but one should have to resort to this.

      Get your act together AMC.

Now that i have seen trailers for The Durrells series 3 and The Good Karma Hospital series 2 on ITV, they may have been confirmed at 8pm and 9pm on the 18th of March 2018 as its a subject to change as they’ve stepped in to replace Endeavour.

I can confirm that The Woman In White may go out on the same night as ITV’s other two dramas and it will be on BBC One on 18/3 at that subjected time of 9pm UK time, as they’ve pushed it back due to that Bruce Forsyth tribute show which is happening at 9pm on 11/3 which would have rather suited Saturday but Casualty/Troy slots still remain the same on that week.

There is no certain replacement for Shetland yet on the 27th of March 2018 on Tuesday nights, they’ve had a slight interruption recently with live FA Cup football with Silent Witness and Shetland for the first two months of the year, well it is going to be the first new drama on Tuesdays since last August and always have been a permanent fixture on “returning series” form.
