3) If something comes from a reputable source, please quote that source, so we all know it is not just a rumour.

Glad there’s finally a UK start date for the first season of Yellowstone on Paramount Network. Did see it first on Sky’s TV listings earlier, then on this page (towards the top of this page). However, based on EpGuides’ listing page for the show, the series premiere was shown in the States as a two hour episode. Yellowstone is on next Monday night for one hour, so we’re getting it as two parts.

Have Movies24 shown the third season of Good Witch? They repeated the first season last week (Monday to Friday) and this week are repeating the second season. I’m hoping they eventually show the Halloween TV movies which have followed each of the first five seasons in the States. I saw on EpGuides a few weeks ago that the show is coming back this year, so Hallmark must have renewed it for a sixth season.

Regarding the Chicago shows, I read on the web last week that there will be a new crossover event airing in the States on February 26th, a two-part crossover with Chicago Fire and Chicago P.D.

  15. Richard O says:

Which is basically what I said myself. The episode title and synopsis on Sky’s TV listings on that night was for the Christmas episode, but a different new episode from the same season was shown instead.

    • Richard O says:

Just to save confusion, this post was in reply to a post further down this page about the new episode of The Simpsons which should have been shown on Sky One in December last year.

  16. helen raybould says:

hi dave I have some news regarding the sky atlantic series the l word generation q I know it hasn’t aired in the uk yet however due to the good ratings Iam guesing is that its been already renewed for a 2nd series

  17. bill says:

Snowfall season 3 – I emailed BBC in October to ask when it would be shown. Got a cheesy reply saying they were also great fan of show etc etc but just saying it was on “very soon”. Now 3 months later and still no date for it. Do you know if they will definitely be showing it?

  18. Anthony666 says:

  19. Simon says:

Hi, I was wondering if you might have any idea when the Hawaii 5-0/ Magnum crossover would air in the U.K. at all? Thanks

  20. CARRIE WALKER says:

Why has the uk not aired season 6 of Chicago PD? Finished watching season 5 on 5USA & it’s gone to season 7 on Sky Witness.

    • Nicholas Hackett says:

They have aired it we are on Season 8 of Chicago Fire and on Season 7 of Chicago PD and both are airing on Sky Witnesses on Friday nights. Along with Chicago Med Season 5

    • Andrew Ward says:

The last episode of the previous season before the new season started on Sky Witness is when that police officer Kelman who was running for mayor was shot dead and it showed Voight driving away with police cars going past behind him so if that is the episode you saw which you say was Season 5 then it wasn’t Season 5 it was Season 6 and Season 7 carried straight on with that story on Sky Witness. If you haven’t seen that episode I have just mentioned then you must have been watching Season 5 repeats on 5 USA. But we definitely got Season 6 last on 5USA.

  21. Edward Perkins says:

  24. Martin Elliot says:

Kidding was shown in the Sky Comedy trailer so I assume that’s airing in February

Also what’s happening with blind spot

  27. MartyM says:

Is there any news on Star Trek: Short Treks (season 2)?
I see that the last episode dropped yesterday in the US. It would make sense for the first five to land with Netflix and the 6th (Picard related) to go to Amazon, but has this been confirmed?

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Not heard anything yet, although I suspect they will all go to the same place. I would assume Netflix again given most of them are Discovery/Pike’s Enterprise era related, but nothing has been announced.

  28. Andrew Ward says:

I notice that you have Station 19 Season 2 down as not yet scheduled TV Shows but it should be Season 3 because we have already had 2 Seasons.

  29. Jaco Moss says:

Season 10 of Bob’s Burgers will receives its UK Premiere on Comedy Central UK on Friday January 24th at 10pm with a Double Bill.

    Info From TV Wise

  30. Simon says:

Just wondering if anyone knows why the UK doesn’t get broadcast rights for the Golden Globes? Especially considering the amount of British talent that was nominated and won.

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Some years they do, some they don’t… Seems to be whether anyone think it is worth paying for. I guess the problem is that all the results are already announced by the time it airs, unless the do it live, and then it’s in the middle of the night. Plus most of the best bits have been uploaded online by the next day.

  31. Les Cave says:

White House farm starts tonight at 9pm on ITV

  32. Andrew says:

Has the TV show SIX been cancelled or renewed? Also, has Coroner season 2 starring Serinda Swan been picked up in the UK?

    • Annette says:

Six (assuming you are referring to the drama series about the Seal teams that aired on History) was not picked up for a 3rd series unfortunately. History confirmed this in June 2018.

You could give Seal Team on sky one a go the third series starts tonight (Wednesday 8 Jan) if you like these types of shows

      • Andrew says:

Thanks, been watching Seal Team since season 1, great show.

I watched season 1 of SIX on a freeview channel, can’t remember which, missed season 2.

        • Jonathan says:

Season 1 of SIX was shown on 5Spike, but History took the second season… It’s believe Season 2 will come to one of the Channel 5 channels (won’t be 5Spike as it’s closing down) but I’m kind of doubting it now as it’s been too long.

  33. Annette says:

Someone asked about sister wives returning to the Uk found this https://uk.tlc.com/series/sister-wives/
Which although on top banner states no episodes found it lists the first episode of the new season (kicked out which has apparently just aired in the US as being on 19 January on TLC

  34. Jay says:

Seeing that Netflix have decided not to show Blacklightening and have announced Dynasty will be a full boxset does that mean all future existing CW shows and any new ones Netflix decide to buy will all be full boxsets.

  35. Kevin says:

Get Shorty series 3 aired in the U.S last October. Any idea when this due in the U.K.

  36. Edward Perkins says:

Info from TVWise and verified by the EPG on Sky Q

  39. helen raybould says:

is there any news on when the l word generation q is airing in February at all

  40. Colette Aitken says:

What on Earth is taking so long for greys anatomy and batwoman to be shown over here? Batwoman is part of the arrowverse and we have a massive crossover happening soon that that character is part of!

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

With Greys, there seems to have been some issue getting the rights this year. Don’t know why… I do wonder if Disney may want it for Disney+, so have upped the price to a stupid level that makes it not worth it for Sky to pick up.

Batwoman is a mystery… Sky are saying that someone has bought it, but they don’t know who. But then it hasn’t shown up anywhere, so I don’t know if that is correct, or they have it wrong. Or maybe it was sold as a boxset to a streaming service, so it won’t air until after it’s finished in the US (which is stupid of WarnerMedia if that is the case). You would have thought if the rights were available, Sky One would have acquired them. It is very odd…

      • Colette Aitken says:

Yeah it’s all very weird. I have contacted them before and they said it’s rights issues. I think it’s because of the whole wwe going to bt sport sky are in a mood about it so they aren’t willing to buy more tv shows

      • Jay says:

I bet Netflix have it and will drop it as a boxset along with Dynasty and Blacklightening.

  41. Edward Perkins says:

Season 3 Box Set of American Drama The Royals Starring Liz Hurley is now available to Watch on My5 from Today Monday 6th January 2020.

  46. steven bruce says:

Any news hunters on channel 4 come back

  47. Selina Roe says:

For season 3 of Runaways u have it listed on SYFY uk at 2am but it’s on at 9pm and repeated at 12.10 am it’s not on at 2am

  48. Jay says:

Is there any news on Siren. There’s been no mention of season 3 yet but it was renewed for season 3. Season 2 started last January in America but still no confirmation on season 3.

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Looks like it’s coming to Freeform in the US in “Spring 2020”, so some time after that in the UK, assuming Syfy UK retains the rights (which I think is likely, but with all the changes going on right now it’s hard to say for sure!)

  49. Dave says:

Does anyone know when Season 2 of Designated Survivor is due on Paramount. and Season 3 Fear The Walking Dead on E4 ?

  50. Jodie says:

Although Season 3 of The Deuce doesn’t premiere until 10pm tonight on Sky Atlantic, the whole of Season 3 has been available to download from Sky since yesterday (1st Jan) 🙂

  51. John Henderson says:

Does anyone know why ITV2 are not broadcasting omnibus editions of Emmerdale and Coronation Street this weekend, on both Saturday and Sunda, as they usually do?

Is this temporary, due somehow to Christmas schedules, or is it because ITV have decided to stop these altogether?

Any further information would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

    • MartyM says:

According to the Sky planner both omnibus editions are showing on Sunday morning on ITV3 (not ITV2), but only Coronation Street on Saturday.

  52. Who has the UK rights to Y (Y: The Last Man)? I see you’ve got it down for BBC2, which seems to fit with the FX/BBC deal, but SFX have it down for FOX in their 2020 preview.

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

I would have thought it should be the BBC as it’s an FX show and FX are one of the production companies on it. There may be some reason it falls outside of that deal, but I’m not sure why that would be in this case. BBC hasn’t officially said anything, but that pretty normal for the BBC… Then neither has FOX UK though as far as I can see… So at the moment we don’t officially know for certain, but unless they know something we don’t, I would say the BBC should be the default option for FX shows in the UK.

  53. Slick says:

Does anyone know if Amazon will show Star Trek Picard one episode per week or as a complete box set on the premiere date?

    • AndyD says:

One episode per week. It is made for CBS All Access and their series such as Star Trek: Discovery and The Good Fight show one episode per week.

  54. Jaco Moss says:

Sky Comedy has picked up the UK rights to Miracle Workers, it was shown during their promo which aired during last nights season premiere on Hawaii Five 0

  55. gary says:

“Thunderbirds Are Go” new episodes start on Saturday Jan 4th on ITV at 8.30,, so far on season 3 has only shown up to episode 18,,

  56. Jo Nickson says:

Trying to find out when series 3 of The Good Karma Hospital will be shown but can’t find this show on your site. First time you’ve let me down 😉 Any info gratefully received.

    • Annette says:

Good question especially series 3 was filmed over a year ago and had already aired in several other countries already (which seems strange to me considering it’s an ITV commission and was filmed in 2018).

      • Andrew says:

ITV said The Good Karma Hospital would return in 2019. However, it now looks like it won’t hit our screens until 2020. “Season three’s in the can, and I think will be transmitted early next year,” Dan Sefton told RadioTimes.com in October 2019.

    • Amanda Redman recently tweeted it is due March 2020 no exact date was given though

  57. Ellie Dalby says:

When is Heartland season 13 being released on Netflix in the UK

  58. Keith Moran says:

When is series 3 of Welcome to My World (André Rieu) due to be shown on Sky Arts?
It has already been shown on Dutch TV

  59. Richard O says:

Sorry if this has already been mentioned, but I think there was a late schedule change to the new episode (from the current season) of The Simpsons which was shown on Sky One on Christmas Eve. It should have been the Christmas episode “Bobby, It’s Cold Outside”, but instead another episode from the current season was shown, “Livin La Pura Vida”.

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Interesting, but could come across as little misleading, as it is talking about mainly about Disney-owned shows being pulled from On Demand, which we kinda knew would happen. That was one of the reasons for the Disney+ delay in launch in the UK, as they were waiting for licenses to run out. Of the shows they mention, Scandal already aired on Sky Witness and Marvel’s Runaways 3rd and final season already has an air date on Syfy.

Grey’s is an interesting one though, as Sky seem to be struggling to get hold of the latest season, and it is the only ongoing series out of the 3 them specifically mention in the start of the article, so it could be that we see shows distributed by Disney (like Grey’s) moving straight to Disney+… Or it could be things still premiere on Sky, but have limited catchup options. Where as before, you might have had entire season box sets, now you may only have the current season On Demand and Now TV for a week or month before they move to Disney+.

Side note: The Rookie, which also airs on ABC (Disney) in the US, does have a Sky Witness premiere date, but is distributed internationally by eOne. Same with The Good Doctor, where it is ABC in the US but Sony is the distributor.

We could be in for an interesting year of things of things jumping channels in 2020 with all the new streaming services and US broadcast mergers…

Viacom, who own the Channel 5 channel in the UK, has just merged (or re-merged) with CBS. That was only complete recently, so we don’t yet know if that will have any effect on the CBS shows in the UK. The renewal of the Sky/HBO deal, which seemed to delay some pick ups of the other WarnerMedia properties, although it looks like we are finally seeing some pick ups now that is resolved. We’ve already seen changes with Comcast (who own NBCUniversal) buying Sky, which has seen shows move from Universal (which appears to be shutting down) and moved to Sky Witness – but then that has also brought all the Chicago shows together finally. We’ll have to wait and see what else the new year brings! 🙂

      • Edward Perkins says:

Not to mention Sky One has renewed its licence deals with Disney/Fox to Show The Final 11th Season of Modern Family and Season 31 of The Simpsons both shows are due to air on Sky One from Friday 17th January 2020.

      • helen raybould says:

I am not looking forward to all these changes so hopefully it will work out for the better

      • Jay says:

With all these deals and changes it’s getting more difficult to want to get behind a show. This year has been a pain. I watch a diverse of shows so to find out The Resident might not return, the Arrowverse is a mess, Blacklightening hasn’t returned as with Dynasty, Daybreak getting cancelled.

On to another topic. Is E4 still planning on showing the last Agents of Shield season or will it be on Disney+.

Will Greys Anatomy be leaving Amazon Prime and other ABC shows and Fox shows. That might be why Fox UK lost Bul.

        • Edward Perkins says:

Bull is made by CBS Studios and was Not made by FOX even though the show aired on FOX UK in The United Kingdom. Bull airs on CBS in America.

        • helen raybould says:

I can understand how you feel I feel the same way the joy of sitting in front of the tv to watch a show or a series has lost its appeal

      • Edward Perkins says:

Season 1 to 10 of Modern Family Box Set has resurfaced on Ultimate Ondemand on Sky Q from Today Friday 27th December 2019.

      • Warren B Boyne says:

Hi Dave, I have asked about Major Crimes on my post I sent, but I never got a reply back.

    • Warren says:

Are there any plans for Major Crimes to return to our TV screens and also what season was the finale to the show?

      • Jon says:

Major Crimes is airing on Alibi. There are six seasons and a total of 105 episodes. It starts on Alibi on January 7 with S01E01.

  60. Anna says:

According to BT flack will return on 21 February as it states:

“ Paquin returns to our screens as Robyn, a PR queen juggling her clients’ lives as her own falls to pieces. Exclusive to W from 21 February.” https://www.bt.com/tv/H3upgrade1/

  61. Warren B Boyne says:

I’m looking for a show called The Rapair shop on BBC1, is this being renewed?

  62. Doctor Who switches back to Sunday at 7 from the second episode of the new series

  63. Jonelle says:

Hi! Any news in when Black-ish May return and the start of it’s spin-off Mixed-ish? Thank you!

  64. Mike says:

Better Things season 3 starts on BBC 2 on Tuesday 7 January according to BBC website

    https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b0by92vf

  65. Martin Elliot says:

Universal TV closes on 27th of January (to make way for Sky Comedy presumably)

‘Universal SD and HD channels will cease from BT TV on the 27th of January 2020 and will no longer be available in the UK market’

See the FAQ on this link
    https://www.bt.com/tv/H3upgrade1/

    • helen raybould says:

that’s sucks I have only a few channels in my bt package deal in the first place why does sky need another comedy channel when they already have 2 I might as well not have bt tv

      • Annette says:

It also states that recordings will also be disappearing, wonder if sky will be doing the same as BT. As Bt states

The recordings will be available until Sunday the 23rd of February 2020.

If sky does the same wonder if that will mean my download of The Murders will go too which is a shame if so as has not been on the streaming systems such as amazon or Netflix

      • helen raybould says:

its just popped up on my tv screen today but I am thinking of leaving bt and getting a non contract deal so that missing universal wont be that bad they just don’t care about viewers all they want is ratings nothing else matters to tv stations at all we don’t need another comedy channel its stupid

    • Kristy says:

What will happen to its shows. Such as private eyes.

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Thanks for the update. At the moment I can’t get answers out of Sky as to what is going to happen to the other shows they haven’t yet moved from Universal so I’ve set them to “no UK broadcaster”. I’ll update when I hear more.

  66. Howard says:

Dunno if it interests anyone on here but mixtape (now called soundtrack btw) dropped on netflix a few days ago not sure which day & also the second season of temptation island starts on monday it seems on E! UK at 9 I would have to double check though

  67. Jaco Moss says:

BBC Two has picked up the UK rights to HBO Industry and is acting as a co-producer and will air it in 2020
Also Season 3of Frankie Drake Mysteries will receive its UK premiere on Alibi on Tuesday January 21st at 9pm

    Info From TV Wise

  68. Selina Roe says:

Hi, can u tell me why ” a discovery of witches” seems to be taking so long to start series 2 as I’m sure the first one premiered in September and also why DC legends of tomorrow don’t seem to have a start date either?
    Thank u

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Season 1 did, but these things sometimes take a while to return for a 2nd Season. As these type of productions get more complex to produce, particularly for non-US dramas, you get longer gaps in between seasons. It will be back in 2020, we just don’t know when yet.

Legends is a shorter season than the other Arrowverse shows, and doesn’t start until January in the US. It will return in the UK when Sky bring back their other Arrowverse shows for the 2nd half of their seasons, which is likely to be some point between mid-Feb/early March (although could be earlier). Again, we don’t have dates yet.

  69. James Hunter says:

Just wondering, are we expecting ARROW back 9for its last 3 episodes) in February or March? Do we have any idea yet. I see its been February most years but wondered if sky had said one way or the other.

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

They don’t usually announce a date until 2 weeks or so before broadcast. Arrow/Legends back in the US on 14th Jan, Supergirl on 19th, but then Flash isn’t returning until 4th Feb, and I would think Sky will want to bring everything back together. There are also some breaks in the US scheduling in the 2nd half of the season they’ll want to remove, so mid-Feb at the earliest probably.

Generally its been mid/late Feb or very early March previously, but then they have got the Crisis episodes to run as well this year.

  70. helen raybould says:

hi dave merry xmas or happy holidays to you and ur family and I see that the l word generation q has been put in for February like I thought it would be however is there any indication when in February its likely to be

  71. Kieran says:

Doesn’t Bull usually start in January. Is it coming back later in 2020

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Just checking on that, as it wasn’t in the Jan or Feb highlight list from Fox…

    • Dave Elliott Dave Elliott says:

Bad news I’m afraid… Fox UK does not have the rights to Season 4, so it is technically without a UK broadcaster right now.

However, it is a CBS show, and CBS has now merged with Viacom who own the Channel 5 suite of channels, so there is a possibility it may pop up there somewhere… We’ll see if they announce something in the new year.
