Dichen Lachman Cast As Roulette In Supergirl
Dollhouse, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. & The Last Ship star Dichen Lachman has landed the role of villain Roulette in the new season of Supergirl.
Roulette first appeared in 2001’s JSA Secret Files #2, and is not a metahuman, but is a is a genius with numbers making her great at gambling, a skilled martial artist, and has hairpins which double as daggers. She makes her appearance in Supergirl as the proprietor of an underground alien fight club in National City, who is eager to get the Kryptonian into the ring.
Like many Australian actresses, Lachman appeared Neighbours, before joining Joss Whedon’s Dollhouse as Sierra, then becoming Skye/Daisy’s mother, Jiaying, on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., and helicopter pilot Jesse on The Last Ship. Most recently, she’s been cast as Reileen Kawahara, sister to lead character Takeshi Kovacs (Joel Kinnaman – Suicide Squad, Robocop) in Netflix’s tv adaptation of Richard Morgan’s award winning cyberpunk novel Altered Carbon.
Lachman joins a long list of new characters appearing in Supergirl season 2, including Frederick Schmidt as Metallo, Katie McGrath as Lena Luthor, Floriana Lima as Maggie Sawyer, Ian Gomez as Snapper Carr, Lynda Carter as the President, and of course, Tyler Hoechlin as Superman.
Supergirl is set to return to Sky 1 on 24th October 2016 at 8:00 pm
