In this week’s podcast we got the chance to have a chat with director Dominique Schilling and actress Marion Ross about their new movie A REASON.
Dominique is a Swiss German film maker and writer who’s previously worked on short films, music videos and documentaries. A Reason is her first foray into feature films, and the movie has been getting a great response, winning multiple awards on the festival circuit.
Marion Ross has been working in tv & film for over 60 years, but is probably best know as Mrs C – the mother of the Cunningham family in the smash hit TV show Happy Days. Marion has worked pretty much every year of her long career, appearing in an incredible range of movies and shows, such as Gilmore Girls, The Love Boat, Hot in Cleveland, even voice work as Spongebob Squarepants’s grandmother!
A Reason stars Magda Apanowicz (Continuum, Caprica) as Serena – a young, gay introvert, and Nick Eversman (Get On Up, Missing) as Nathan, her controlling older brother, who are forced to endure a dreaded family gathering at the house of their elegant elderly Aunt Irene (Marion Ross) to hear the reading of her will – setting off an unexpected course of events that ultimately forces the clan to re-evaluate their views on love, forgiveness, and family.
