Star of That ’70s Show, Wilmer Valderrama, has been recruited by NCIS for it’s 14th season Geektown has learnt.
Season 13 of NCIS saw long standing cast member Michael Weatherly leave the show, so producers are hoping Valderrama can help fill the void.
Valderrama takes on the role of a once-grounded field agent who accepted a deep cover assignment years ago and never resurfaced. Many agents don’t know he’s still on the job or that he’s even alive. Now, he’s back and his dedication to job and country has left him an unpredictable, charismatic, loose canon.
Exec Producer Gary Glasberg commented on the casting “Wilmer Valderrama will be able to flex his dramatic, physical and comedic talents in this classic NCIS role. Fans are going to see him like they’ve never seen him before. This is going to be fun. We’re thrilled he’s coming aboard.”
The news comes after it was announced that two of season 13’s guest stars, would get recurring roles in the new season – Doctors actor Duane Henry, who appeared as a British M16 agent, and 24’s Sarah Clarke who played an FBI special agent who has recently transferred to D.C. from New York City.
NCIS airs on Fox in the UK, and usually airs in January, although an air date for the 14th season has yet to be confirmed. Click here for all the latest NCIS uk premiere air date information.
