You may or may not be a Power Rangers fan, but it’s safe to say that it’s a universal truth that adding the great Bryan Cranston to anything will make it better! Late last night Heisenberg himself tweeted out the following:
Excited to play #Zordon in the #PowerRangersMovie! T or F: #BlueRanger Billy Cranston was named after what actor? https://t.co/d3ltjpcDKb

For those uninitiated in the ways of the Power Rangers, Zordon, or Zordon of Eltar to give him his full title, was the wise galactic sage who created the group, and offered guidance to the Rangers as they battled against evil. Having been banished into a time warp by the dastardly Rita Repulsa, he mainly appeared as a large, blue head, floating in a beam of light in the Power Rangers base.
This isn’t the first big name to join the new film as Elizabeth Banks (The Hunger Games, Pitch Perfect) steps into the role of the evil Rita Repulsa, hell bent on galactic domination.
The Rangers themselves are being played by RJ Cyler (Blue Ranger), Becky G (Yellow Ranger), Ludi Lin (Black Ranger), Naomi Scott (Pink Ranger), and Dacre Montgomery (Red Ranger).
Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz, who have previously worked together on X-Men: First Class, Thor and Fringe, are penning the script, and the film will be directed by Dean Israelite.
If you can’t wait till Power Rangers is released in March 2017, to catch Bryan Cranston on screen again, you might want to tune into Sky Atlantic on Wednesday 29th June at 9pm. There you can see him playing President Lyndon B. Johnson in HBO’s movie All The Way, about LBJ’s first year in office, and his attempt to pass the Civil Rights Act.
