‘Designated Survivor’ Season 2 Comes To Netflix From 28th September

by Dave Elliott

Netflix UK has confirmed Designated Survivor will return on Thursday, 28 September 2017, just hours after it airs in the US.

The drama sees Kiefer Sutherland stars as Tom Kirkman, a lower-level cabinet member who is suddenly appointed President of the United States after a catastrophic attack on the US Capitol during the State of the Union.

As we head into season 2, Kirkman has his work cut out for him as he tries to guide the nation through the anti-government attacks orchestrated by Patrick Lloyd (Terry Serpico), the ex-CEO of Browning-Reed and the founder and leader of the True Believers.

Helping Kirkman out this season is Kendra Daynes (Zoe McLellan – ‘NCIS: New Orleans’), who joins the administration as new White House counsel. FBI Agent Hannah Wells (Maggie Q) may also have a new pair of helping hands, in the form of Ben Lawson (‘Neighbours’, ‘Secrets & Lies’), who takes the role Damian Rennett, an MI6 operative who meets Hannah while undercover in Amsterdam.

Season 2 is said to be moving away from the huge cliffhangers to focus a little bit more on intimate character stories.

Designated Survivor‘ Season 2 comes to Netflix UK weekly from Thursday, 28 September 2017.
