Netflix Drops First Full Trailer For ‘Lost In Space’

by Dave Elliott

Netflix has dropped the first full trailer for their Lost In Space reboot, giving us a proper look at the Robinson family and the “Danger Will Robinson” Robot!

The story follows the Robinson family, who are part of a highly trained mission to establish a new colony in space. Their ship is unexpectedly pulled off course forcing them to crash land on a lost planet, and they find themselves battling not only a strange new alien environment, but also their own personal demons.

Toby Stephens (‘Black Sails’) plays the father & commander John Robinson and Molly Parker (‘House of Cards’) takes the role of mother & biochemist Maureen Robinson. The kids are played by Taylor Russell (‘Falling Skies’) as eldest child Judy, Mina Sundwall (‘Freeheld’) as middle daughter Penny, and Maxwell Jenkins (Sense8), who will play the youngest child, Will Robinson.

Parker Posey (‘Search Party’, ‘Louie’) takes on the role of the scheming Dr. Smith, switched to a female character for this version, and Ignacio Serricchio (‘Bones’) plays Major Don West, pilot of the Jupiter 2 spacecraft.

Taking its cues from the original 1960s sci-fi classic, the show is written by Matt Sazama & Burk Sharpless (‘Dracula Untold’, ‘Power Rangers 2017’), who exec produces along with Zack Estrin (‘No Ordinary Family’, ‘Prison Break’, ‘Charmed’), who serves as showrunner.

‘Lost In Space‘ was voted ‘Most Anticipated New TV Series Of 2018’ in the most recent ‘Geektown Awards‘, so I know there are a lot of people out there looking forward to this series dropping. Thankfully, your wait is nearly over!

Lost In Space‘ lands on Netflix, with all episodes available, from Friday, 13th April 2018.
