‘Frequency’ Star Peyton List Takes Female Lead In ‘Gone Baby Gone’ Series
‘Frequency’ Star Peyton List has landed the female lead opposite ‘The Originals’ Joseph Morgan in the tv pilot based on the best-selling book ‘Gone Baby Gone’ it has been announced.
Based on the best-selling novel by Dennis Lehane the currently untitled tv pilot comes from 20th Century Fox TV and Miramax, who were also the people behind the Ben Affleck movie version which came out in 2007. The story centres on Patrick Kenzie (Morgan) and Angela Gennaro (List), two private detectives who right wrongs the law can’t in the working-class Boston borough of Dorchester, using their wits, street knowledge… and an undeniable chemistry.
Along with her leading role in ‘Frequency’, List has starred in ‘Mad Men’, ‘Blood & Oil’, and the ‘The Tomorrow People’. She also played Lisa Snart aka Golden Glider in ‘The Flash’ and is currently the latest incarnation of Ivy Pepper on ‘Gotham’.
Also joining the cast is Christine Lahti as Antonia Gennaro, Angie’s politician mother. Lahti has starred in ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’, ‘Jack & Bobby’ and ‘Chicago Hope’, but is probably best known to our audience as Doris McGarrett in ‘Hawaii Five-0’ and Laurel Hitchin in ‘The Blacklist’.
The series will be written by Robert Levine (‘Black Sails’ co-creator, ‘Human Target’) with Phillip Noyce (‘Clear and Present Danger’, ‘The Bone Collector’, ‘Patriot Games’) directing the pilot episode. Levine and author Dennis Lehane are exec producing.
The as-yet-untitled ‘Gone Baby Gone’ TV series is currently only at the pilot stage, so may not go to series, but we’ll let you know when we hear more.
