There is some cast shuffling going on in the Arrowverse it has been revealed recently. No new character announcements, but some changes to the size of roles for people we have seen before.

Firstly, Jeremy Jordan, who plays lovable DEO geek Winn Schott, has lost his series regular status on Supergirl, although isn’t leaving the series. “We love Jeremy, and even though he’s [not going to be around full-time], we’re not saying goodbye to Winn at all,” exec producers Robert Rovner and Jessica Queller told TVLine. “We’re already breaking big stories for him right now for the fall, and I think the fans will be excited to see what he has coming up.”

This move does rather make sense, as recent episodes have implied Winn could be getting itchy feet being stuck in the DEO bunker all the time. Rovner and Queller go on to say, whatever Winn does next will be “fulfilling his potential”.

That doesn’t mean the DEO is going to be down on brainpower though. Jesse Rath, who plays Brainiac-5, will be returning to the show as a series regular to help out the team. “We love the character of Brainiac-5 and can’t imagine anyone but Jesse Rath in the role,” add Rovner and Queller. “He brings such fun, heart and brilliance to Brainy, and we’re so excited he’s joining the cast as a series regular for season 4. We have a lot of great Brainy stories to tell.”

Over on The Flash, it has been announced that Hartley Sawyer, aka Ralph Dibny, aka Elongated Man, will be sticking around next season, and has been upgraded to a series regular. He’ll join Danielle Nicolet, who has also been promoted to series regular as Central City district attorney Cecile Horton, and new(ish) arrival Jessica Parker Kennedy, who plays *season 4 finale spoilers* ‘Baby Flash’, Nora West-Allen.

As has been previously announced, Legends Of Tomorrow, is losing Keiynan Lonsdale’s Kid Flash (although he could pop up in guest spots), but gains Matt Ryan’s John Constantine and Jes Macallan’s Time Bureau agent Ava Sharpe full time. Over on Arrow, Thea (Willa Holland) and Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) won’t be returning, but we will see more of Katie Cassidy’s Black Siren, and Colton Haynes’ Arsenal returns to the show as a series regular.

All the DC TV shows will return to Sky One in Autumn 2018.
