‘Ozark’ Season 2 Gets August Premiere Date On Netflix
The superb ‘Ozark‘ starring Jason Bateman will return for Season 2 in August the streaming service has announced.
‘Ozark’ follows the Byrdes – Marty (Bateman), Wendy (Laura Linney) and their teenage kids, Charlotte (Sofia Hublitz) and Jonah (Skylar Gaertner), who are, for all intents and purposes, your average family with ordinary lives… Except Marty is a Chicago financial advisor who also serves as the top money launderer for the second largest drug cartel in Mexico. When things go awry, he must uproot his family from the skyscrapers of Chicago and relocate to the lazy lake region of the Missouri Ozarks.
In its much-anticipated 2nd season, ‘Ozark’ continues to follow Marty and his family as they navigate the murky waters of life within a dangerous drug cartel. With Del (Esai Morales) out, the crime syndicate sends their ruthless attorney Helen Pierce (Janet McTeer) to town to shake things up just as The Byrdes are finally settling in.
Marty and Wendy struggle to balance their family interests amid the escalating dangers presented by their partnerships with the power-hungry Snells, the cartel and their new deputy, Ruth Langmore (Julia Garner), whose father Cade (Trevor Long) has been released from prison. The stakes are even higher than before and The Byrdes soon realize they have to go all in before they can get out.
Along with the trailer above, Netflix has also released a few “first look” images of the new season which you can find below.
‘Ozark‘ Season 2 comes to Netflix UK and around the world from Friday, 31st August 2018.
