David E. Kelley’s adaptation of Stephen King’s ‘Mr. Mercedes‘ has finally found a UK home!
The series stars Brendan Gleeson (’28 Days Later’, ‘In Bruges’, & Moody in the ‘Harry Potter’ films) as Bill Hodges, a retired detective, who finds himself taunted by a demented serial killer (Harry Treadaway – ‘Penny Dreadful’) with a series of lurid letters and emails. This forces the ex-cop to undertake a private, and potentially felonious, crusade to bring the killer to justice before he can strike again.
The drama also stars, Kelly Lynch (‘The L Word’), Jharrel Jerome (‘Moonlight’), Mary-Louise Parker (‘The Blacklist’, ‘The West Wing’), Holland Taylor (‘The Practice’, ‘Two and a Half Men’), Breeda Wool (‘UnREAL’), Justine Lupe (‘Madam Secretary’, ‘Harry’s Law’), Scott Lawrence (‘JAG’, ‘Legion’) and Robert Stanton (‘Law & Order’). The series is directed by Jack Bender (‘Game Of Thrones’, ‘The Last Ship’, ‘Lost’).

Now we come to the question of where to find the show, as it’s not entirely straightforward. As we mentioned a few months ago, StarzPlay is an addition “add-on” channel you can get via Amazon Prime Video. This as an additional service to the main Amazon Prime Video offering, and will cost £4.99 a month, with a 7-day free trial… So if you can binge your way through the series in a week then cancel, you won’t pay anything!
‘Mr. Mercedes’ currently only has one season out, but Season 2 is due to arrive in the US on AT&T’s Audience Channel on August 22, 2018. Starzplay has confirmed ‘Mr. Mercedes’ Season 2 will run in the UK on Monday, 23rd August 2018.
You can find more information on ‘Mr. Mercedes’ on Starzplay here. Season 1 is available to watch right now with Season 2 coming to the UK on Monday, 23rd August 2018.
