SDCC – ‘The Man In The High Castle’ Season 3 Gets Trailer & October Premiere On Amazon

by Dave Elliott

The Man in the High Castle not only got a Season 3 trailer at SDCC this weekend, but it was also announced the show would return on Friday, 5th October 2018 to Amazon Prime Video.

Based on Philip K. Dick’s award-winning novel, and executive produced by Ridley Scott (‘Blade Runner’), and Frank Spotnitz (‘The X-Files’), ‘The Man in the High Castle’ explores what it would be like if the Allied Powers had lost WWII, and Japan and Germany ruled the United States.

If you need a little recap on Season 2, after giving Joe (Luke Kleintank) the film, Juliana (Alexa Davalos) is forced to flee the fury of the Resistance while embarking on a new path to save her home from destruction. Joe confronts his absent father in Berlin, who is not as he seems. Smith (Rufus Sewell) wrestles with what to do about his ill son. Frank (Rupert Evans) takes a gamble with his life in a bid to save Ed (DJ Qualls). Tagomi’s (Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa) life is turned upside down by his “travel” to an alternative world.

It would seem Season 3 is going to be a bit more sci-fi, as you hear in the trailer, they are working on a machine to travel between these “alternative world”. ‘Treme’ and ‘Bosch’ veteran Eric Overmyer takes over as showrunner for Season 3.

‘The Man in the High Castle‘ Season 3 premieres Friday, 5th October 2018 on Amazon Prime Video.
