‘A Series of Unfortunate Events’ Returns For 3rd & Final Season In January 2019

by Dave Elliott

The terribly tragic tale of the Baudelaire orphans is nearly at an end. However, the cruel taskmasters at Netflix have decided, as one last gut-punch, to ruin your New Year by kicking it off with the 3rd and Final Season of A Series of Unfortunate Events in January 2019.

For those lucky enough not have watched this “entertainment show”, it tells the dark and disturbing tale of Violet (Malina Weissman), Klaus (Louis Hynes) and Sunny (Presley Smith), 3 children who tragically lose their parents in a fire, only to be cast into the care of the dastardly Count Olaf (Neil Patrick Harris), who will will stop at nothing to get his hands on their inheritance. Although they do manage to escape his initial grasp, he continues to pursue them, whilst they try and unlock the mystery of their parent’s death, and the mysterious secret society, of which they were members.

Based on the internationally best-selling series of books by Lemony Snicket (aka Daniel Handler), Season 1 of this appalling tale covered the first 4 of the 13 books, with Season 2 covering books 5 to 9. That leaves Season 3 to cover books 10 to 13, and hopefully end the torment of these poor, poor, children.

If you have a strong constitution and can bear to watch more of this dreadful story, Lemony Snicket’s A Series Of Unfortunate Events’ Season 3 will arrive on Netflix from Friday, 1st January 2019.
