Marvel Releases The First Trailer & Title For ‘Avengers: End Game’
The most highly anticipated trailer of the year has finally landed, as Marvel reveals the conclusion to ‘Infinity War’ has the ominous title ‘Avengers: End Game’.
The last movie did not end well for The Avengers. After battling Thanos, the team failed to stop him from using the Infinity Gauntlet to “snap” half for the universe’s population out of existence. Tony Stark is left floating in space. Half the team is gone. Those left behind are struggling to decide what they do next.
As we see in the trailer, they do have some help from some of the team who didn’t make it into the first film. We get to see the return of Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner), who (judging by the costume) seems to have switched from being Hawkeye to his other superhero persona, Ronin. We also get the return on Ant-man (Paul Rudd) to the Avengers fold, as he seems to have avoided the “snap” as well. I won’t go into that further, but make sure you see the end credit sequence of ‘Ant-man & The Wasp’ if you haven’t already.
Along with Renner & Rudd, the trailer also confirms the return of Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark / Iron Man, Chris Hemsworth as Thor, Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner / Hulk, Chris Evans as Steve Rogers / Captain America, and Scarlett Johansson as Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow. You can also be pretty sure Brie Larson will appear as Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel, as will Chadwick Boseman as T’Challa / Black Panther and Tom Holland as Peter Parker / Spider-Man. Technically most of the other characters are a 50/50, although I suspect a lot of them will find their way back from the “snap”.
On top of the trailer and the name, Marvel also revealed ‘Avengers: End Game’ would be coming to cinemas in April 2019… And we can’t wait!
