As we head into Christmas week, things are going to be slowing down on the site for the festive period. We will still be updating the UK TV Air Date page as things come in, but the regular posts will be less frequent until the new year.
I wanted to take this opportunity to say a massive THANK YOU to all the visitors to the site this year, and people that contact us and retweet/repost on social media. You help make Geektown a fun and happy place to be all year round, and for that, I’m eternally grateful.
Some of you may not realise, but Geektown doesn’t have a huge permanent staff but is run by a few dedicated people, who help bring you the latest news, air date info, and the Geektown Radio podcast. I wanted to give a big thank you to all the people working with us to make that possible including Bex Trista from TristaBytes – check out her awesome YouTube channel; Matt from Entertainment Talk, who also makes a whole host of brilliant podcasts; Geektown Radio podcast co-hosts Darryl, Ross and Gray, it’s a pleasure doing the shows with you; Lastly, Mike, who works to bring us great stories from Canada.
I also wanted to say thank you to all the people that supply us with great interviews and opportunities throughout the year. A special thanks to the lovely PR teams at Sky, NOW TV, BBC, Fox, UKTV, Channel 5, and especially Channel 4, who let us visit the set of ‘Humans’ and chat with the actors. A huge thank you to all the PR agencies that provide us with the chance to chat with actors and stars of tv and film. Plus a special thanks to Impact24 PR, who bring us lots of interesting behind the scenes people to chat with, such as composers, production designers, cinematographer, costume designers and makeup artists. A big thank you to the press teams at the various conventions such as EGX, Creation Entertainment, Showmasters, and especially MCM Comic Con. You guys are amazing.
Don’t forget, The Geektown Awards will be open until 31st December, so there’s still lots of time to enter and win either the HUGE main prize worth over £700 or the runner-up prize worth over £125! So GO AND VOTE!
Here’s to wishing all of you Geektowners a wonderful Christmas and a very happy 2019! Now to play us out in true geeky style, here are The Avengers singing Christmas Carols…
