Sky One Sets February Premiere Date For ‘Strike Back: Silent War’
‘Strike Back: Silent War‘, will get its UK premiere in February 2019 Sky One has announced.
Season 7 (or Season 6 if you’re in America), sees a Russian bomber crash in the South China Sea, sending the covert special-ops soldiers of Section 20 to investigate. Whilst there, the team cross paths with Katrina Zarkova (Yasemin Allen – ‘Matter of Respect’, ‘Water and Fire’), a rogue Russian operative with questionable loyalties.
Now under orders of a new commanding officer, Col. Alexander Coltrane (‘Battlestar Galactica’s Jamie Bamber), Thomas “Mac” McAllister (Warren Brown), Samuel Wyatt (Daniel MacPherson) and Gracie Novin (Alin Sumarwata) must pursue the stolen contents of the Russian jet across Southeast Asia.
Working alongside the Malaysian police to shut down a Triad gang in Kuala Lumpur, the team uncover a corrupt plot by a wealthy Indian businesswoman running for Parliament and plunge into the jungles of the Golden Triangle in Myanmar, facing off against mercenary drug agents and terrifying warlords, as they uncover a conspiracy that threatens to push the world to the brink of global conflict.
The series, which is a co-production between Sky in the UK and Cinemax in the US, was soft-rebooted last season to bring in a whole new cast of character following the depature of Stonebridge and Scott (Philip Winchester & Sullivan Stapleton).
‘Strike Back: Silent War‘ premieres Thursday, 28th February at 9pm on Sky One & Now TV.
