by Dave Elliott

Amazon has released the first trailer for Season 2 of wonderfully bonkers superhero show The Tick which premieres on the streaming service this April.

Set in a world where superheroes have been real for decades, Season 1 saw Arthur (Griffin Newman – ‘Search Party’), an accountant with mental health issues and zero powers, comes to suspect his city is owned by a global super-villain, The Terror who has been long thought dead. As Arthur struggles to uncover the conspiracy he falls in league with a strange blue superhero – The Tick (Peter Serafinowicz – ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’). They launched into an adventure brimming with crazed arch-villains, blood-soaked vigilantes, and superhuman freakery.

In its 2nd Season, Tick and Arthur have freed the City from The Terror – now they must defend it from new villains and old enemies. That is if they can convince AEGIS, the government agency in charge of superhero regulation, that they deserve the job. But now that the City is ‘safe enough to protect’ Tick and Arthur begin to see they’ve got competition…
