The sad day is finally here… ‘Supernatural‘ is going to end with its 15th Season. Jensen Ackles, Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins made the announcement on via a message on social media this evening.
“Well, it’s official,” commented Jensen on Twitter “One more round for the Winchester brothers. Though nothing ever really ends in Supernatural…does it?”

Exec producers Robert Singer and Andrew Dabb added in a joint statement: “Firstly, we would like to thank all the people who have been involved with the show both in front of and behind the camera. For us it has been an experience of a lifetime. The support we have had from both Warner Bros Television and The CW has been incredible. We’d like to give special thanks to Jensen, Jared and Misha for making this journey so special. It is now most important to us to give these characters that we love the send off they deserve.”
This is most definitely not a cancellation, but most likely a decision by the stars. The CW has always stated they would make the show as long as ratings are strong (which they still are) and for as long as the boys wanted to make it. But after 15 Seasons, you can understand that Jensen & Jared might want to move onto other projects.
Before anyone asks, E4 have still to schedule ‘Supernatural‘ Season 14 in the UK, but it should land at some point this Spring. We’ll let you know when we get an exact date.
