‘Killing Eve’ Season 2 Finally Gets UK Premiere Date In June On BBC One & BBC Three
It has been a painful wait, but ‘Killing Eve‘ Season 2 will finally premiere on BBC One & BBC Three on Saturday, 8th June at 9:15pm. Following the launch on BBC One, all episode will be on the iPlayer for your binge-watching pleasure.
Based on the Villanelle novellas by Luke Jennings, Season 1 of ‘Killing Eve’ starred Sandra Oh (‘Grey’s Anatomy’) as Eve, a bored MI5 security officer whose desk job does not fulfil her fantasies of being a spy. Jodie Comer (‘Doctor Foster’) played Villanelle, a fearsome assassin clinging to the luxuries her violent job affords her. When Eve was tasked with tracking down Villanelle before she can strike again, the two women were thrown into a cat-and-mouse game that turns the traditional spy-thriller on its head.
After everything that happened in Russia, Eve went rogue. Turning up at Villanelle’s home and coming face to face with her, in a moment that shocked even Villanelle, Eve has just stabbed her in the stomach.
Now Eve is alone in Villanelle’s flat with nothing but a knife, her handbag and a rising sense of panic. Meanwhile, Villanelle is already on the run and using all her many skills and instincts to survive. She’s wounded in more ways than one, and if she can escape the wrath of her Russian handlers, she is heading straight to London.
