Netflix Releases Trailer Announcing ‘El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie’ Coming In October

by Dave Elliott

Netflix has announced the hotly anticipated ‘Breaking Bad’ movie will arrive on the streaming service this October, along with a full title, and a trailer for El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie.

The film will see Aaron Paul reprise his Emmy-winning role as Jesse Pinkman, for the film. Details on the plot have been kept under wraps, but as you can see from the teaser, it is clear the law are still after the surviving half of the meth-cooking duo. The brief trailer doesn’t feature Paul, but Charles Baker, who returns as Skinny Pete, having been pulled in to assist with the police’s enquires. Ever the faithful friend, he refuses to help.

When we last saw Pinkman in the ‘Breaking Bad’ finale, he was rescued from the Aryan Brotherhood gang by Walter White (Bryan Cranston) and escaped to parts unknown. In the wake of his dramatic escape from captivity, Jesse must come to terms with his past in order to forge some kind of future. It is unclear if the film will, somehow, manage to slip in a reunion with Cranston, maybe in flashback, but fans can live in hope!

Along with having to make sure he doesn’t let anything slip about the plot for this film, Paul has also had to watch his words on his other new gig, as he can next be seen in the 3rd Season of ‘Westworld’.

‘El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie’ comes from original show creator Vice Gilligan, who both wrote and directed the film. Mark Johnson, Melissa Bernstein, Charles Newirth, Diane Mercer and Aaron Paul produce, in association with Sony Pictures Television.

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie‘ premieres Friday, 11th October 2019 on Netflix.
