Sky Witness & NOW TV Confirm October UK Premiere Date For ‘The Good Doctor’ Season 3
After NOW TV jumped the gun a little last week with the premiere date for ‘The Good Doctor‘ Season 3, it has been officially confirmed today the medical drama will return on Tuesday, 15th October 2019 to Sky Witness and NOW TV.
From ‘House’ creator David Shore, the series stars Freddie Highmore as Shaun Murphy, a young surgeon with autism and savant syndrome, relocates from a quiet country life to join a prestigious hospital’s surgical unit. Alone in the world and unable to personally connect with those around him, Shaun uses his extraordinary medical gifts to save lives and challenge the scepticism of his colleagues.
At the end of Season 2, we saw Shaun ask out pathologist Dr. Carly Lever (Jasika Nicole) out on a date. Heading into the new season, it seems things didn’t go so well… Following what he believes was a disastrous first date, Murphy proposes a radical surgery to save a newlywed woman’s life. Meanwhile, after the newly promoted chief of surgery, Dr. Audrey Lim (Christina Chang), announces that the residents can lead surgeries, Dr. Morgan Reznick (Fiona Gubelmann) and Dr. Alex Park (Will Yun Lee) compete for the chance to operate on an elderly patient who has been diagnosed with cancer.
‘The Good Doctor’ has always been a show for great notable guest stars, and this season is no exception. Joshua Malina joins fellow ‘The West Wing’ alumnus Richard Schiff (Dr. Aaron Glassman) when he stops by the hospital as a patient. ‘9-1-1’ and ‘UnREAL‘ star Tracie Thoms appears as someone not happy with her care and threatens to report a doctor to the medical board, and ‘House’ alumnus Robert Sean Leonard also appear this year, but he’ll be showing up as patient rather than a doctor.
