Netflix Orders ‘Human Resources’ From The Creators Of ‘Big Mouth’

by Dave Elliott

Netflix has ordered Human Resources, a new animated comedy series from the creators of ‘Big Mouth’, it was announced yesterday at NYCC.

‘Human Resources’ is a workplace comedy set in the world of the monsters. Other than that basic description, the streaming service has not given away any more plot details. There is a little teaser, which you can see above, which has the banner “Human Resources: We manage people”, but that is all we know at the moment!

The comedy is created and exec produced by Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin, Jennifer Flackett, and Kelly Galuskawill, the people behind the Emmy-nominated ‘Big Mouth’. That series was recently renewed for three more seasons, which is a massive order for Netflix.

For those that haven’t caught ‘Big Mouth’ yet, the adult animated comedy follows a group of friends as they navigate the glorious nightmare that is teenaged puberty. John Mulaney (‘John Mulaney: The Comeback Kid’, ‘Saturday Night Live’), Kroll (co-creator/EP), Maya Rudolph (‘Bridesmaids’), Jason Mantzoukas (‘The League’), Jordan Peele (‘Key and Peele’), Fred Armisen (‘Portlandia’), Jenny Slate (‘Girls’) and Jessi Klein (‘Inside Amy Schumer’) are among those who lend their voice to the series.

Nick Kroll, Andrew Goldberg, Mark Levin and Jennifer Flackett recently signed an overall deal with Netflix under their newly formed animation production company, Brutus Pink. In addition to ‘Big Mouth’ and ‘Human Resources’, Brutus Pink will create a variety of animated projects in both film and television that are adult, funny and emotional.

There is no premiere date yet for ‘Human Resources‘, but ‘Big Mouth‘ returns for Season 3 today (Friday, 4th October 2019) on Netflix UK and Worldwide.
