Disney+ has released a little teaser trailer for the return of the Muppets, in ‘Muppets Now‘, premiering 31st July on the streaming service.
‘Muppets Now’ is The Muppets Studio’s first original series for Disney+. The six-episode show will be the Muppets’ first-ever unscripted series, and as you can see in the trailer, features a number of special guest stars… We would like to tell you more, but that weasel Joe from legal (no, it’s okay, he’s literally a weasel), won’t let us.
What we can say is that the show will feature Kermit, Miss Piggy, and the rest of your favourite Muppets, all in a brand new, improvised series, filled with the startling silliness and heartfelt fun that first made them famous.
‘Muppets Now’ marks the first tv return for the gang since the 2015 ABC series ‘The Muppets’, which rather missed the mark. With the new show being an unscripted and improvised comedy, so should have more of the anarchic feel we have come to know and love from anthropomorphic fuzzy felt friends!
