Alibi Sets October UK Premiere Date For Single Season Of Edie Falco’s ‘Tommy’

Alibi has set an October UK premiere date for the single-season of cancelled Edie Falco drama Tommy it has been announced.

Multiple Emmy Award winner Edie Falco stars in ‘Tommy’ as a former high-ranking NYPD officer who becomes the first female chief of police for Los Angeles. A true blue New Yorker, Abigail “Tommy” Thomas uses her unflinching honesty and hardball tactics to keep social, political, and national security issues from hindering effective law enforcement in the Southland.

Alongside Falco, the cast includes Michael Chernus (‘Orange Is the New Black’) as Ken Rosey, a lawyer and speechwriter who works with Tommy to manage her public image; Adelaide Clemens (‘Rectify’) as Blake Sullivan, Tommy’s communications director; Russell G. Jones (‘The Americans’) as Donn Cooper, a veteran cop and chief of staff to Tommy’s predecessor, whom Tommy retains to give her honest advice; Olivia Lucy Phillip as Tommy’s daughter Kate, who is also a school psychologist; Vladimir Caamaño (‘Marvel’s Runaways’, ‘Superstore’) as Abner Diaz, Tommy’s driver and personal security detail; Thomas Sadoski (‘Life in Pieces’) as Mayor Buddy Gray; And Joseph Lyle Taylor (‘Law & Order: SVU’) as Deputy Mayor Doug Dudik.

Equal parts political, procedural, and family drama, ‘Tommy’ comes from Paul Attanasio, the creator of ‘Bull’ and ‘Homicide: Life on the Street’. Attanasio, Darryl Frank, Justin Falvey, Tom Szentgyorgyi, Christine Moore and Kate Dennis (pilot only) serve as executive producers. The series is produced by CBS Television Studios in association with Atelier Paul Attanasio and Amblin Partners. All series are distributed internationally by ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group.

Tommy‘s one and only season premieres Wednesday, 7th October 2020 on Alibi in the UK.
