Geektown Radio 282: ‘Star Trek: Lower Decks’, ‘Outside The Wire’ Reviews, Renewals & Cancellations, UK TV Air Dates!

On this week’s Geektown Radio podcast, Darryl from HollywoodNorthNews.net joins me to chat through our week in tv, film & gaming, along with all the weekly tv news, renewals and cancellations!

Reviewing the last 7 days in tv and gaming, Darryl has finished Amazon series ‘The Wilds’, so gives us his recommendations on whether to watch that, plus he reviews the Stephen King adaptation ‘The Stand’ on Starzplay, the film ‘Outside The Wire’ on Netflix, and chats through Star Wars: Light of the Jedi, the new novel set in the High Republic era of our favourite “Galaxy Far, Far, Away…” Meanwhile, I have been playing with ‘Dyson Sphere Program’ on Steam, a new intergalactic factory-building game, along with watching Star Trek: Lower Decks, which has just launched on Amazon Prime UK, and Russell T Davies new series ‘It’s A Sin’ on Channel 4.

In the TV news, we have all the usual renewals, cancellations and pickups, along with a pile of new shows from Sky, including ‘Bloods’, a new comedy from the people behind ‘Trollied’; A new crime drama from Shameless’ & ‘No Offence’ creator Paul Abbott, and an adaptation of classic sci-fi novel ‘The Midwich Cuckoos’. We also talk about another possible ‘Game of Thrones’ prequel and casting for Season 3 of ‘Titans’.

On This Weeks Show:

  • I’m joined by Darryl to review the movies, games, and tv shows we’ve been watching over the past week.
  • We take a look at all the latest tv & film news, including all the renewals & cancellations.
  • We give you our recommendations for the upcoming TV in the next few weeks.
