‘Lupin’: Netflix Announces Hit French Drama Will Return Summer 2021 For Part 2

Netflix has announced its smash-hit French drama Lupin will return this Summer for Part 2.

If you haven’t caught the show yet, ‘Lupin’ stars Omar Sy (‘Intouchables’, ‘The Call of the Wild’) in a contemporary adaptation of the Maurice LeBlanc novels. As a teenager, Assane Diop’s (Sy) life was turned upside down when his father died after being accused of a crime he didn’t commit. 25 years later, Assane uses “Arsène Lupin, Gentleman Burglar” as his inspiration to avenge his father.

Alongside Sy, the series stars Hervé Pierre, Nicole Garcia, Clotilde Hesme, Ludivine Sagnier, Antoine Gouy, Shirine Boutella, Soufiane Guerrab.

‘Lupin’ has become something of a surprise worldwide phenomenon for the streaming service, having been watched by an estimated 70 million households since it’s launch earlier this month! It has also been Number 1 in Netflix’s Top 10 across more than ten countries. Part 2 of the mystery thriller will consist of 5 new episodes, directed by Ludovic Bernard (‘The Climb’) and Hugo Gélin (‘Love At Second Sight’).

The series is written by George Kay (‘Killing Eve’) in collaboration with François Uzan (‘Family Business’) and is produced by Isabelle Degeorges and Nathan Franck from Gaumont Télévision.

Lupin‘ Part 2 will premiere Summer 2021 on Netflix worldwide.
