Sky Witness Sets April UK Premiere For ‘The Rookie’ Season 3
Nathan Fillion is back protecting the streets of LA, as Sky Witness announces an April premiere date for ‘The Rookie‘ Season 3.
The series stars Fillion as John Nolan, the oldest rookie in the LAPD, who has used his life experience, determination and sense of humour to keep up with rookies 20 years his junior. In Season 3, Nolan is nearing the end of his training, but now faces his biggest challenge as a police officer when he must come to terms with the choices he has made in pursuit of the truth.

Alongside Fillion, the cast includes Alyssa Diaz as Angela Lopez, Richard T. Jones as Sergeant Wade Grey, Titus Makin as Jackson West, Melissa O’Neil as Lucy Chen, Mekia Cox as Nyla Harper, and Eric Winter as Tim Bradford.
The new season will also have a few notable recurring characters joining the show, including former ‘Legend Of Tomorrow’ Brandon Routh, who plays Doug Stanton, an eleven-year veteran of the LAPD, whose views prove to be polarizing at the Mid-Wilshire station. He is currently set to appear in four episodes, but they also have the option to extend that to a season-long arc.
Also joining the show are Camille Guaty (‘Scorpion’, ‘Prison Break’) who appears in a multiple-episode arc as Sandra De la Cruz, a businesswoman with nefarious connections who was the target of a murder attempt; And Jason Canela (‘The Young and the Restless’, ‘Pitch’) who takes a recurring role as Cesar Madrigal, the son of criminal royalty who is impetuous, entitled and in line to take over his father’s empire.
The show was created by Alexi Hawley, and comes from The Mark Gordon Company (‘Designated Survivor’, ‘Quantico’, ‘Ray Donovan’) and ABC Studios, with Hawley and Fillion exec producing alongside Michelle Chapman and Jon Steinberg.
‘The Rookie‘ Season 3 premieres Thursday, 29th April 2021 at 9pm on Sky Witness and streaming service NOW.
