‘The Mysterious Benedict Society’ Gets Trailer, Key Art & June Premiere On Disney+
Today, for those of you that didn’t realise, is National Streaming Day (because everything has to have a “day” now), but to celebrate, Disney+ has released the trailer and key art for ‘The Mysterious Benedict Society‘, which stars the wonderful Tony Hale, and will premiere this June on the streaming service.
After winning a scholarship competition, four gifted orphans are recruited by the peculiar Mr. Benedict (Hale) for a dangerous mission to save the world from a global crisis known as The Emergency. Reynie, Sticky, Kate, and Constance must infiltrate the mysterious L.I.V.E. Institute to discover the truth behind the crisis. When the headmaster, the sophisticated Dr. Curtain appears to be behind this worldwide panic, the kids of “The Mysterious Benedict Society” must devise a plan to defeat him.
The series stars Tony Hale (‘Arrested Development’, ‘Veep’), alongside Kristen Schaal (‘Bob’s Burgers’, ‘The Last Man on Earth’), Ryan Hurst (‘Sons of Anarchy’, ‘The Walking Dead’), MaameYaa Boafo (‘Ramy’), Gia Sandhu (‘Heartland’), Seth Carr (‘Bosch’), Emmy DeOliveira, Mystic Inscho and Marta Kessler.
The series is executive produced by Sonar Entertainment, 20th Television, Jamie Tarses, Karen Kehela Sherwood, Deepak Nayar, James Bobin, Matt Manfredi (writer/creator) and Phil Hay (writer/creator). Showrunners for the series are Darren Swimmer and Todd Slavkin.
‘The Mysterious Benedict Society‘ premieres Friday, 25th June 2021 on Disney+.
