‘NCIS: New Orleans‘ has found a new home for its 7th and final season, as Sky Max announces they have picked up the last outing of the procedural drama.
‘NCIS: New Orleans’ takes place in the local field office that investigates criminal cases involving military personnel in The Big Easy, a city known for its music, entertainment, and decadence. Leading the team is Special Agent Dwayne Pride (Scott Bakula), a.k.a. “King,” a native of New Orleans who is driven by his need to do what is right.
In Season 7, as New Orleans grapples with the effects of COVID-19, Pride sends Tammy and Carter to investigate a suspicious death aboard a humanitarian ship offshore, where they learn that some crew members are infected with the deadly disease. Also, Wade is overwhelmed by the high volume in the morgue due to COVID-19.
Alongside Bakula, the series starred Vanessa Ferlito, Necar Zadegan, Charles Michael Davis, Rob Kerkovich, Daryl “Chill” Mitchell, Chelsea Field and CCH Pounder. Jan Nash and Christopher Silber served as showrunners on the drama.
The series previously aired on the FOX UK channel over here, but vanished from screens when Disney decided to close down the channel. The main ‘NCIS’ show has now moved over on to Disney+, with the new season dropping in 2022. For those of you wondering about ‘NCIS: LA‘, don’t worry, Sky Max will still be airing it, but it currently looks like it won’t land until after ‘New Orleans’ has run its final season.
‘NCIS: New Orleans‘ Season 7 is currently set to premiere Sunday, 2nd January 2022 at 10pm on Sky Max.
