The Geektown Radio podcast is back for a new episode, and this week Matt from Entertainment Talk returns to chat through the last seven days on UK TV, film, and gaming, alongside the usual TV news and UK TV air dates!
Matt begins with finally getting around to watching Amazon series ‘Upload’, so give us his thoughts on the first few episodes of season one. Sticking with older tv series, he also headed over to Netflix heading way back to the first season of acclaimed British drama ‘Top Boy’. Having not abandoned his beloved Apple TV+ entirely this week, he also reviews episode two of the brilliant ‘Foundation’. Meanwhile, I have been out and about this week, and give my thoughts on new Birmingham Comic-Con ‘MegaCon Live’, which came to town this weekend. I also review Netflix thriller series ‘Pieces Of Her’, and we both discuss this year’s Oscar awards… It’s not like anything controversial happened…
Over in the TV news, we run through the renewals, along with some cancellations and pickups. We chat about what’s going on with The CW and their renewals. We also cover a new sci-fi(ish) comedy coming to Roku, casting for AMC’s Anne Rice series, and some of the… interesting… character choices for CW’s ‘Gotham Knights’ pilot!
