Sky has released a new teaser trailer for the highly anticipated 2nd Season of hit drama ‘Gangs Of London‘, which is set to return “soon” on Sky Atlantic & NOW.
Set in the heart of one of the world’s most dynamic and multicultural cities, ‘Gangs of London’ tells the story of a city being torn apart by the turbulent power struggles of the international gangs that control it.
Season one introduced us to the Wallace family, who found themselves with a sudden power vacuum when the head of London’s most powerful crime family is assassinated. In stepped the impulsive Sean Wallace (played by Joe Cole), who, with the help of the Dumani family headed by Ed Dumani (Lucian Msamati – ‘Game of Thrones’), attempted to take his father’s place. However, things did not end well for either of the families involved…

One year after the death of Sean Wallace and the violent reckonings of series one, the map and soul of London has been redrawn. The surviving Wallaces are scattered, the Dumanis broken and estranged, and Elliot is now being forced to work for the investors. As the Investors look down on a city sliding into chaos they decide enough is enough and bring in reinforcements to restore control. Old favourites and new players fight back against the new order, forcing sworn enemies to work together and family members to betray each other. Who will win the battle for London’s soul?
Season two will see the return of Sopé Dìrísù, Paapa Essiedu, Lucian Msamati, Michelle Fairley, Orli Shuka, Pippa Bennett-Warner, Brian Vernel, Narges Rashidi, Asif Raza and Valene Kane reprising their roles. Joining the ensemble cast include Waleed Zuaiter (‘Baghdad Central’, ‘The Spy’) as Koba, French rapper Jasmine Armando in her first TV role as Saba, Fady El-Sayed (‘Baghdad Central’, ‘A Private War’) as Faz, Salem Kali (‘Un Prophete’, ‘Dealer’) as Basem and Aymen Hamdouchi (‘SAS: Red Notice’, ‘Criminal: UK’) as Hakim.
The award-winning series is created by Gareth Evans and his creative partner Matt Flannery. ‘Gangs of London’ is a Pulse Films production in association with SISTER for Sky Studios and AMC. Season 2 is directed by Corin Hardy, Marcela Said and Nima Nourizadeh. The series is written by Tom Butterworth, Lauren Sequeira, Danusia Samal, Rowan Athale, Meg Salter and co-written by Steve Searle.
