‘Evil’ Renewed For Season 4 By Paramount

Evil will be returning as Paramount announces the supernatural drama will be back for a 4th Season.

The critically acclaimed original series is a psychological mystery that examines the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion. The drama stars Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, Michael Emerson, Christine Lahti, Kurt Fuller, Andrea Martin, Brooklyn Shuck, Skylar Gray, Maddy Crocco and Dalya Knapp.

“EVIL continues to expand its fanbase of both critics and viewers alike; season three currently has a 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes and it is a consistent top-five most-watched original series and acquisition driver for the service,” said Nicole Clemens, president, Paramount+ Original Scripted Series. “We couldn’t be more excited to be terrified by what Robert and Michelle create for season four with our outstanding cast bringing it to life.”

The third season, which has yet to air in the UK, began moments after the end of season two (warning, season two spoilers!): when a newly ordained David and Kristen kiss. The two not only have to navigate this fraught new reality, but contend with David’s involvement with “the entity,” an espionage unit within the Catholic church. Meanwhile, Ben finds his brain breaking from their unsolved cases and turns to his sister for help.

Whilst ‘Evil’ is now a Paramount+ Original in the USA, the series did begin on CBS before being moved to the streaming service. In the UK, the first two seasons aired on UKTV’s Alibi, and we are assuming the 3rd season, which only began airing last month in the USA, will also land on Alibi in the UK later this year. Whilst we do now have Parmaount+ in the UK, shows which are (or originally were) made for the CBS network seem to still be being sold to other UK broadcasters (i.e. ‘SEAL Team’ looks to be staying with Sky, ‘CSI: Vegas’ was recently picked up for Alibi, etc…) That may change at some point in the future, but for now, that seems to be the case.

‘Evil’ is produced by CBS Studios in association with King Size Productions. Robert King, Michelle King, Liz Glotzer, Rockne S. O’Bannon and Nelson McCormick serve as executive producers. The series is distributed worldwide by ViacomCBS Global Distribution Group.

Evil‘ Season 3 does not have a UK air date yet, but if you want to keep track of this or any other show, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date.
