‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon’ Adds 5 Cast & Reveals Details For Spin-Off Series

AMC has announced five more cast members who will be joining Norman Reedus in The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon spin-off series.

Following the finale of the main show – which saw Daryl head off into the sunset on his bike – the new series sees our hero head to France to face a whole new set of zombie-related problems… Washing ashore on the French coast, Daryl is struggling to piece together how he got there and why. The spin-off tracks his journey across a broken but resilient France as he hopes to find a way back home. During his journey though, the connections he forms along the way complicate his ultimate plan.

Some of those connections will be in the shape of French series regulars Anne Charrier (‘The Last Deadly Mission’) as “Genet”, Eriq Ebouaney (‘Lumumba’, ‘Transporter 3’) as “Fallou”, Laika Blanc Francard (‘My Night’) as “Sylvie”, Romain Levi (‘The Tunnel’) as “Codron”, and newcomer Louis Puech Scigliuzzi as “Laurent”. No more is known about the characters at the moment, other than their names.

They join the previously announced cast of Clémence Poésy (‘The Essex Serpent’) and Adam Nagaitis (‘Chernobyl’) who take lead roles alongside Reedus. Poésy plays Isabelle, a member of a progressive religious group, who joins forces with Daryl and finds herself confronting her dark past in Paris. Nagaitis plays Quinn, a displaced Brit who has become powerful in post-apocalyptic Paris as a black marketeer and the owner of the Demimonde, a sexy underground nightclub.

The ‘Daryl Dixon’ series is just one of a number of new shows coming in ‘The Walking Dead’ universe. There is also ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City‘, which features Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) heading to Manhattan, NYC, and The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne, which was teased at the end of the main show finale. The OG spin-off Fear the Walking Dead is set to end with the upcoming 8th Season later this year.

As to where any of these shows will air in the UK… no idea… Disney+ did air the final season of the main show, and the AMC channel and Prime Video both run ‘Fear’. However, there has been no news on a UK broadcaster for the Tales Of The Walking Dead anthology series, or any of these new spin-offs.

In the USA, the final season of ‘Fear the Walking Dead‘ premieres May 17, 2023. That will be followed by ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City‘ in June 2023, with ‘The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon‘ expected to land towards the end of 2023, and ‘The Walking Dead: Rick & Michonne‘ airing in Early 2024… If we don’t hear something before the new series launch, I expect to hear a lot of “Yo Ho Ho-ing” from UK TWD fans…

In the UK, we have no premiere dates or broadcaster for the new spin-off, but if you want to keep track of these or any other shows, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when they get a UK premiere date.
