Netflix has found one of the leading roles for their next Harlan Coben adaptation, as the streamer announces ‘Slow Horses’ actress Rosalind Eleazar will star in Missing You, from the team behind the smash hit ‘Fool Me Once’.

In ‘Missing You’, eleven years ago Detective Kat Donovan’s fiancé Josh – the love of her life – disappeared and she’s never heard from him since. Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again. Josh’s reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.

Rosalind Eleazar has been recently starring in Apple’s utterly brilliant ‘Slow Horses’, opposite Gary Oldman and Jack Lowden. Previously, she has appeared in series such as ‘Harlots’, ‘Death in Paradise’, and ‘Breeders’.

Victoria Asare-Archer, who previously worked on ‘Stay Close’, has written the drama, with Sean Spencer (‘A Town Called Malice’, ‘The Lazarus Project’) as lead director. Asare-Archer, Coben, Nicola Shindler, Richard Fee, and Danny Brocklehurst exec produce, and Quay Street Productions (part of ITV Studios) is the production company.

This is the sixth Harlan Coben adaptation for Netflix from Harlan Coben, Danny Brocklehurst, Nicola Shindler, and Richard Fee. Back in January, it was announced Netflix has also ordered a seventh adaptation from Quay Street, based on Harlan Coben novel ‘Run Away’, which is due to film after ‘Missing You’.

Quay Street Productions (part of ITV Studios), was founded by multi-award-winning producer Nicola Shindler OBE in 2021, and builds of builds on Shindler’s reputation to deliver compelling drama, with her previous credits including ‘It’s A Sin’, ‘Stay Close’, ‘The Stranger’, ‘Happy Valley’, ‘Queer As Folk’ and more. They recently produced Russell T Davies’s drama ‘Nolly’ for ITVX, along with feature-length drama ‘Men Up’ for the BBC, and ‘After the Flood’ for ITV1/ITVX.

Missing You‘ does not yet have an exact premiere date but will air on Netflix worldwide. If you want to keep track of these or any other shows, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date.
