Netflix are doubling down on the success of ‘Fool Me Once, as they order two more Harlan Coben novels to be adapted into limited series for the streaming service.

Harlan Coben, Danny Brocklehurst, Nicola Shindler, and Richard Fee re-team for their sixth and seventh collaborations with Netflix following the huge success of their fifth collaboration, ‘Fool Me Once’, which premiered globally on 1st January. The drama, which starred Michelle Keegan, Dame Joanna Lumley, Adeel Akhtar, Emmett J. Scanlan and Dino Fetscher, amassed 61M views globally in its first two weeks, reaching the Top 10 in 91 countries worldwide.

The first of the two new dramas is an adaptation of Missing You, which is due to begin filming in Spring 2024. Eleven years ago Detective Kat Donovan’s fiancé Josh – the love of her life – disappeared and she’s never heard from him since. Now, swiping profiles on a dating app, she suddenly sees his face and her world explodes all over again. Josh’s reappearance will force her to dive back into the mystery surrounding her father’s murder and uncover long-buried secrets from her past.

Victoria Asare-Archer, who previously worked on ‘Stay Close’, will write the drama, with Sean Spencer (‘A Town Called Malice’, ‘The Lazarus Project’) as lead director. Asare-Archer, Coben, Nicola Shindler, Richard Fee, and Danny Brocklehurst exec produce, and Quay Street Productions (part of ITV Studios) is the production company.

The second drama, Run Away, follows Simon, who had the perfect life: a loving wife and kids, a great job, and a beautiful home. But then his eldest daughter Paige ran away and everything fell apart. So now when he finds her, vulnerable and strung out on drugs in a city park, he finally has the chance to bring his little girl home. But it turns out she’s not alone and an argument escalates into shocking violence that will shatter Simon’s life all over again. His search for his daughter will take him into a dangerous underworld, revealing deep secrets that could tear his family apart forever.

Danny Brocklehurst (‘Fool Me Once’, ‘The Stranger’, ‘Stay Close’, ‘Brassic’) will write this one and exec produce alongside Coben, Shindler, and Fee. Again, Quay Street is the production company.

Quay Street Productions (part of ITV Studios), was founded by multi-award-winning producer Nicola Shindler OBE in 2021, and builds of builds on Shindler’s reputation to deliver compelling drama, with her previous credits including ‘It’s A Sin’, ‘Stay Close’, ‘The Stranger’, ‘Happy Valley’, ‘Queer As Folk’ and more. They recently produced Russell T Davies’s drama ‘Nolly’ for ITVX, along with feature-length drama ‘Men Up’ for the BBC, and ‘After the Flood’ for ITV1/ITVX.

Both ‘Missing You‘ and ‘Run Away‘ do not yet have exact premiere dates but will air on Netflix worldwide. If you want to keep track of these or any other shows, you can add them via our Never Miss system, and you’ll be notified when it gets a UK premiere date.
