US network Syfy has renewed ‘SurrealEstate‘ for a 3rd Season of the Canadian paranormal drama, along with picking up ‘Revival‘, a new drama based on the comic book series of the same name.
‘SurrealEstate’ follows realtor Luke Roman (Tim Rozon – ‘Schitt’s Creek’, ‘Wynonna Earp’) and an elite team of specialists that handle the cases no one else can: haunted and possessed houses that literally scare would-be buyers away. Researching, investigating and “fixing” the things that go bump in the night, the team works to create closure – and closings – even as they struggle with demons of their own.
Alongside Rozon, the series stars Sarah Levy (‘Schitt’s Creek’) as agent Susan Ireland; Adam Korson (‘This Is Us’) as paranormal researcher and former Catholic priest, Phil Orley; Maurice Dean Wint (‘Haven’) as technology specialist August Ripley; And Savannah Basley (‘Wynonna Earp’) as Zooey L’Enfant.
The series comes from creator and showrunner George R. Olson who also serves as executive producer along with Lance Samuels (‘The Indian Detective’), Daniel Iron (‘Ginny & Georgia’), Armand Leo (‘The Detail’), and Danishka Esterhazy (‘The Banana Splits Movie’). Blue Ice Pictures produce.
‘Revival’ is set on one miraculous day in rural Wisconsin, the recently deceased suddenly rise from their graves. But this is no zombie story as the “revived” appear and act just like they once were. when local Officer and single mother Dana Cypress is unexpectedly thrown into the centre of a brutal murder mystery of her own, she’s left to make sense of the chaos amidst a town gripped by fear and confusion where everyone, alive or undead, is a suspect.
‘Revival’ is also produced by Blue Ice Pictures. Lance Samuels, Daniel Iron, Samantha Levine, Daniel March, Luke Boyce and Aaron Koontz serve as executive producers.
Both ‘SurrealEstate‘ Season 3 and ‘Revival‘ Season 1 are marked to premiere in the 2025 season on Syfy in the USA. ‘SurrealEstate’ airs on Sky Sci-fi in the UK. There is no official UK broadcaster yet for ‘Revival’ yet (although it is also likely to come to Sky Sci-fi.)
